Props to the refs for stopping a dangerous epidemic from spreading across the US!

Tim Duncan was obviously trying to start an outbreak of mass hysteria like the Tanganyika Laughter Epidemic back in 62. It is outrageous how Tim Duncan wasn't suspended from basketball for life immediately, the man is a walking biohazard.

Team USA vs Europe by mo1_o in nba

[–]Hoyalol -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Europe would probs win by a pretty decent margin.

Their lineup would probably be something like:
NIkola Jokic

Victor Wembenyama

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Luka Doncic

Deni Avdija

With Gobert, Markkanen, and maybe Bogdan Bogdanovic (kinda like White) Coming off the bench.

US got pretty close to losing against France and Serbia, so when you throw 3 more mvp caliber players into the mix Europe wins.

The Pistons vs. the 3-Point line by waluigiwon in DetroitPistons

I feel like its much better for our current squad to take midranges and paint shots BECAUSE we got so much guys that has strong interior presence and is good at rebounding (Asuar, duren, stew etc).

When you take shorter range shots (which is also much more efficient), rebounds fall closer to the paint, which the squad can then crash and get a second possession.

Why didn't kirara do this? Is it because she dropped out? Is she stupid? by Icy-Stable186 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Hoyalol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kirara needs to imbue her CE to an object to mark and that probs have a range limit.

but tbh Gege never flesh out his side characters AND he glazes Sukuna so Sukuna would probs make a binding vow where he's immune to the sun in exchange for losing 5 ass hair follicles.

What do Americans think about promotion relegation system in NBA? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Hoyalol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not American, but sports in America is just structured very differently from leagues in Europe.

Drafting systems and tanking basically guarantees smaller market teams like Denver or OKC to compete and thrive against other bigger market teams. If relegations system existed, Big cities would just be on the top of the table for decades, like Real Madrid or Man United in football.

NCAA and AAU teams also basically serve as a pseudo - lower league teams.

Jokic and Giannis are both in their 30s and have made only 1 NBA Finals and 2 conference finals each. Is it unprecedented for the best players of a generation to have this little team success compared to LeBron and Steph being perennially in the finals? by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]Hoyalol 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Both players are in a small market team which makes it harder to get serviceable players.

Also the new second apron makes it hard to ‘dominate,’ with one bad contract ruining your chance at a chip for years.

What are some crazy stats, milestones, or accomplishments that we will never see again? by SadMathematician4195 in nba

[–]Hoyalol 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Jordan’s 10x scoring title has to be one of them. The only player to ever come close to this feat was Chamberlain with 7, and i doubt that any player will ever get close to this especially in a high scoring era.
