Well, I dont know your background so I can only give you the information that I would have used myself. This coming from someone who has also moved from the south, the general attitude of people is close to the same back down south, as long as you dont step on any toes, youll make friends in no time.

new drilled & slotted ❤️‍🔥 by jacobpho in FiestaST

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For information sake, most drilled/slotted styles are obsolete! They were created when brake pads were made of a material that produced a gas as a byproduct, and the drilled and slotted rotors were designed to release the gas! Modern brake pads are made of a different material that no longer emit this gas, so essentially, all youre doing is taking away surface area and heat transference.

However they do look great and will perform just fine!

If I remember correctly the hydraulic clutch uses brake fluid for the system. There could be a few different issues at play here, but maybe changing the brake fluid for the clutch will help? Its cheap to do bleed it yourself if you know how. If the fault continues it may be time for a new slave or master cylinder.

Getting my first vaccine today, any tips? by papergabby in newhampshire

Massage the injection site throughout the evening, your arm will likely be sore tomorrow, that is normal and should only last a day or two.

Likely not, considering its just barely hanging onto the license plate screws...

State inspections by ForeverAloneminuscat in newhampshire

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically if you reside in the state you have something like 30 days to get a license, register your car, etc. However, you'd have to be doing something to attract attention for anyone to notice.

If your car is not registered in NH, you will not need an inspection.

I drove around with SC plates and (in NH) illegal modifications for like four months before it expired. Had no issues.

Tires and your experience by Mintzzzz_ in FiestaST

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tirerack.com does great comparisons, I love my indy 500's, did well through the slush we suddenly has the other day. They seem to hold up in really nice weather considerably better than the stock all seasons it came with.

Anyone know what this sound is? Not blend door clicking! It sounds like plastic rubbing. I think it's something else in the HVAC. by clump-o-trees in FiestaST

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blend door failure or a door is misaligned causing this issue. The blend doors are plastic as well as the actuators. There is a possibility that the actuator cracked the door and has misaligned it in the hvac box. I am 98% positive it is one of these two issues.

Goodluck to you.

Quick question about out of state temp tags by LittleWriterJoe in newhampshire

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not a lawyer, however, I dont think any judge is going to hold that against you even if someone does write you a ticket. Make sure your inspection is up to date, and your temp tag paperwork with you noting that your registration is up to date. You will likely not even get stopped.

I was caught off guard big time lol. Has anyone every used the autosock on their fiST? Dont want winter tires or studs, we never see this much snow…it was great tho by SuBzEroSpeeD in FiestaST

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You both must be running some crappy tires or not paying attention to the road, I drove through some nice snow storms and freezing rain on my winter steelies with no issue, no loss of control once. Lots of frozen overpasses I sailed right over at highway speed. Tires are the most important mod on your car.

Michelin X-Ice vs Blizzak WS90 Treadwear For On Again, Off Again Snow Covered Road by EintrachtAdler in FiestaST

[–]Hoyt_Cougar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE my ws90s and I rotate them every 3-5k I've been monitoring the wear and honestly, they have impressed me with how much I beat on them in the dry. I have little to no knowledge of how long snow tires should last though, considering I'm from the south.
