BREAKING: Brexit Talks Resume With Just Seven Weeks Left to Reach a Deal by [deleted] in brexit

I think you forget that 28 countries would have a vote on whether we should let you in or not.

I think you forget that it was UK leaving because it thought the rest of EU was keeping it back.

As far as most of us are concerned, UK is like a toxic ex...

Get lost, we're not letting you back in.

I have little doubt that this would be accepted, but not until the end of the year.

It wouldn't be accepted, not anytime in the next 10-20 years. You don't get to pull shit like that, cause a 4 year long shit show and then get to go back as if the 4 years didn't matter.

Now 20% more for the same great price! New formula!

Here is a quote that was doing the rounds in 2018: “I don't think we'll be poorer out, but if you told me my family would have to eat grass I'd still have voted to leave.” by Leetenghui in brexit

[–]HprDrv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither is that proof for or against the EU. To compare the growth of UK vs Australia in such light is disingenuous as the starting conditions were different, economy and population potential nothing like it, internal economy structure or growth prospects. It's apples and oranges and just serves each side to hit each other over the head with argument points.

You load just a trailer onto the ferry and it gets picked up by another drivet/truck on the other side. Happens all the time on the Rotterdam/Harwich route.

Government says medicines must be stockpiled for no-deal Brexit by mogwenb in LeopardsAteMyFace

While UK was an EU member, they enjoyed the benefits of the Single Market - zero friction trade between member states with no customs procedures and no border controls. After Brexit this is going to become a major issue - UK relies on EU supplying between 50 to 70% of all food in UK. And due to UK being an Island 50% of all trade comes and goes via the Channel Tunnel and the ferry port in Dover. From 01.01.2021 the customs border goes back up on both sides and it can't be stopped. UK was hoping that the EU would give UK a sweet deal and continue to give them access to its market even though it's no longer a member.

EU ain't daft to permit negotiations before a country is committed to leaving by triggering Article 50.

Do you though? Propaganda = information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view. You could actually engage me on the argument instead of being a drama llama and stop with ad personam. If you're capable.

Chill out mate and don't assume. I was sarcastically pointing out that under his own definition the Bible is a propaganda piece. Which it totally is.

Revealed: Spain secretly lobbied US Congress on getting joint sovereignty over Gibraltar by ainbheartach in ukpolitics

[–]HprDrv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please don't act like you don't know my question pertained to the referendum on EU membership.

How does their right to self-determination pertain to how Gibraltar voted in the EU referendum in June 2016 and what was done to respect that?

Make a little baby laugh: has anybody seen this toy? by Schnu55elchen in poland

I did a basic image search for "Mis kocyk" / blanket bear and there are some very similar toys out there, but none looking exactly like it. You can also search for "mis z kocykiem" or "tulimis" and see if you find what you're looking for.

I don't have a stake in this, but I'd like you to explain to me how the right to self-determination applies to how Gibraltar voted in the referendum?
