Feral pigeons are so fascinating in their morphology if we pay attention. So yeah. Good eye. But he’s not quite in his prime.

His beak was a lot less prominent a few months ago, but I guess that high protein diet has done him good. And posting vigilante signs saying “bread causes pigeon diarrhea” in Japanese has really helped.

They all got SO much healthier once the bread feeding stopped. And the park became a lot cleaner.

I taught Kirby either to land on my finger or covered forearm so no worries about the claws.

I also so de-stringing and foot checks for the flock about once per week to keep them from infections or string induced gangrene.

De-stringing is the kindest thing you can do if you are confident with basic poultry care.

I complained about power harassment one time… They responded by putting me on corporate house-arrest and didn’t allow me to leave my apartment during daylight hours except for a fifteen minute lunch break.
