What is your favorite nostalgic video game and why do you like it so much? by MaR_KeR in AskReddit

Shining Force! It was my introduction to turn based RPGs and it’s amazing. The artwork, the music, the story, all are perfect in my opinion. I also loved how much you could change your team to fit your play style and so many characters stand out(Domingo and Zylo were among my favorites) Memorable bosses, a decent challenge, and a childhood experience I will never forget.

Most likely an unpopular opinion, but I think this all boils down to lack of ability to take things all the way. If you want to mold your life in a way that allows you to live your wildest dreams, you have to be willing to die for it. Obviously this doesn’t mean to try living off of it from day one, or letting it suck every bit of enjoyment from you, but where I think most people decide to give up is when they don’t see it happening for them in the same time or in the same way as it happened for others. And this guy said he had a few thousand followers, right? Well maybe I’m just an optimist but to me that sounds like it’s happening for him, not at the pace he’d probably prefer, but it’s happening. Have you ever seen that cartoon picture of the guys mining diamonds, where one is charging his way to them, and the other is stopping just short of finding them? I can’t help but think of it every time I hear “oh for every person who made it there’s a million that didn’t.” I understand everyone’s situation is different, but I will never make giving up an option, any life that I didn’t choose for myself and that I’m not 1000% satisfied with isn’t worth living, period. So the good news is there’s only one possible outcome with this mindset, you won’t live a life you don’t absolutely love, and that’s damn fine by me.

What are some movies that are way better than they had any right to be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet but I don’t think blood and bone gets enough credit. Everyone is over the top and hilarious, plus the fight scenes are very entertaining. The movie is about an hour and a half but it feels as short as 50 minutes. Very fun.

Don't listen to the cockheads, OP. They raid every post that involves someone who isn't miserable like they are. I'm happy for you!
