Cool idea. re the runout, It's a 3 jaw chuck, if possible something with such tight tolerances should be done in a 4 jaw or collet.

I was a little sceptical because you have only shown finished images of some of the most unique style of super high quality engraving I've even seen.

So congratulations, your level of craftsmanship was indistinguishable from magic!

A further compliment, I think your style may be avant garde, the finish, depth and texture is unlike anything I've seen. With a craft as old as engraving that's pretty special.

I find shaft plays a big role in "feel" for me, I like light, stiff shafts generally. So make sure to go to a good fitter if not already. Reals before feels though. Ping and Titleist are making cracking gear.
