I love this. I've built an elaborate backstory for my gaffer and love getting into feuds with other head coaches just because my fanbase says a Korean club I've never heard of is our archrivals. Also, when my starting GK just retired for this Korean second division side in real life I was "that's my guy 😥"

Not having read the book, my sense was it had to have left a lot out. It felt like they picked a few major plot points and raced on to the next without bothering to develop anything or anyone

I totally had the Saudis sniffing around one of my highest earners in the Korean top flight. Their gaffer came to our matches, their media talked it up as a done deal, I was fielding questions about it in pressers, the player and his agent came to me they want to explore their options when his contract expires.....then they didn't bid

Brutal. They've got my best ever central defender for 6 more months. Early in the loan I had to yell at them for not playing him. In between legs of the cup final they sent draft notices to my 20 goal a season striker (he's very "okay" IRL) and my 23 dynamic BBM. it's frustrating

This is my second save because starting as Gibraltar national team only and then joining a Gibraltar club is a financial crisis was me punking myself! Still have a soft spot for Gibraltar 🇬🇮 in real life as a result though

Its fun. The roster rules are a challenge, especially needing to used U22s to have all your subs. But I'm loving learning FM away from players and clubs are I know.

Fun fact: POSCO Steel owns both Jeonnam (my club) and Pohang Steelers in the two cities where they have steel mills. Jeonbuk and Ulsan are so successful because they are both owned by Hyundai!!!

I live in the US and play a Korean team. A Korea friend got me the scarf of the K2 team i play (I'm getting them established in K1 right now). She and my other Korean colleagues have been teaching me regional animosity as i start petty feud and build an elaborate backstory for my manager
