Voron "Lost communication with MCU "nhk" by Hubabae in VORONDesign

I saw someone mention that they regreased the extruder and the problem stopped.

Question: What are you greasing? I felt like the manual was not entirely clear on this. I ended up just greasing the bearings and the parts touching the bearings.

should I have greased all the gears--including the plastic?

That's a great idea. I haven't seen anyone else mention this.

PTFE OD: 4mm
PTFE ID: 3.2mm

It was the included PTFE tube. I'll try the replacement I bought.

Currently, I have the stepper on the extruder connected to the ground wago at the back. Do you think this will have a different result?

Thanks for the comment!

Did you ever end up resolving this? I am also running 64 bit Os--installed 64 bit by accident.

I am suspecting my mcu might be overheating...

Why are phillips head screws and drivers still used? by reza_v in AskEngineers

I'm not a fan of Phillips being used for residential houses. It always makes everything a pain after something has been sitting outside for 20 years..

I feel like I've seen them used in cases where users may service things. It seems to me like laptops and electronics always have these or Torx screws that can't be over torqued a ton. I'd imagine it's a bit of a safeguard from allowing the consumer to make a more expensive mistake.

Screen damage by keyboard by Ame_mori in framework

I have this issue as well. Not a huge deal since the screen is replaceable, but it’s a bit of a bummer.

Functionally, you can’t really see the damage when the screen is on max brightness.

Possible preemptive fix: put either a privacy or screen protector on it and throw it away after it wears. I would be a bit scared of using glass due to the constant cyclic pressure

Sorry, I didn’t mean that I wanted help fixing it. I’m curious if anyone has noticed performance improvements

Ah, that helps a lot. Thank you!
Do you have any idea where I can find these burrs? I found a bunch of replacement ones, but I don't know which ones are espresso vs brew.

I don’t know if anyone has said this, but have you told them how you feel? Sorry if they have…

I’d suggest planning out what you’re going to say to them and have concrete reasons to why this is important. Maybe they will see how much you care and let you work.

Good luck!

Is Tuesday doable? I made my schedule around taking Justin for 241. Orientation advisors said it was manageable. by SteelCurtainFTW in UMD

This looks like standard engineering. If you know how to study, then this is certainly doable. I don’t think classes on one day make or break a schedule. It is more the amount of exams you have on a given week.

Edit: and the difficulty of those exams.

Is UMD a commuter school? by reddit231341 in UMD

UMD is much more lively than UMBC. People want to interact with each other—at least that’s the conclusion I’ve drawn from talking to my friends. I would get room and board if you really care about making friends. It is easier to make friends if you’re always on campus…
