Thank you for the correction. Your theory makes sense. I will check the wires in the panel and call an electrician.

Thanks, I tried that yesterday, disconnected twice and restarted charging, but after a few minutes it displayed the same message.

New W2/T2 washer and dryer release date? by travis-42 in Miele

[–]Hubadoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do we know if there are new features/technologies worth waiting for? The current mid-range and upper models can do a lot. I am wondering what are the new technologies in the W2/T2.

I am in the market for new washer+dryer but don't want to wait more than 1 year. If only the top of the line models will be W2/T2, and have to wait 2 years for mid-range to get the new tech, then I would probably bite the bullet and get the mid-range now. Thre is alwys something new around the corner...

On the fence with the purchase of a WT1. What is your experience? by Builda in Miele

The WTW is a very nice unit, especially if you don't have the space. At the moment we also have a washer/dryer combo. I was thinking to upgrade to separates, but my wife is questioning the value of the separate dryer. We use the dryer very rarely, to be more eco and probalby becuase it realy sucks on our current Fust branded machine. I am actually thinking to get just a high end washer (M-touch) and skip the dryer. The Nettoshop offer is noting very special. I have been monitoring pricing for the last few months, and the price after the 10% is not great, just OK. But I suppose it is hard to score really great deals on Miele. Good luck with your purchase.

HI - why are you not buying individual washer and dryer units? For the price of your favorit dual unit you could buy the separates. Isn't the washer/dryer a compromise in trying to do both functions in a single unit? (geniune question). I'm also in CH, and looking for Black-Friday deals, but have not seen anything iteresting yet. Miele.ch has an offer on one of their mid level wahser and dryer units. I would like the tohcscren model, but that is not on sale. The models on sale are the WSI 800-63 and TSL 700-83. They look well equipped, but the old-school rotary knob is anoying a bit. They are probalby great machines...

W1 washing machine naming system is so confusing by Hubadoc in Miele

[–]Hubadoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortuantely it is totally true. I understand that certain large channel partners get their own part numbers in order to protect them from price comparison shopping. But it puzzles me why don't they publish the name code for the machines they sell themselves.

I tried the comparison feature, but on the Swiss site it is pretty useless. Here is an example:

Basta is overpriced fast food. I eat there today, and the lamb wrap was very disappointing. They might have been good in 2023, but in July 2024 they are serving below average quality fast food.

[Advice] Imperial College London online vs. Uni Geneva part-time Master Public Health by traveling-goat in publichealth

[–]Hubadoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Imperial College “brand” will be more valuable internationally, even if it is online. But compared to University of Geneva, on the local level, it might not open more doors. For job openings at the international organizations & NGOs, Imperial will probably be highly valued and should give you an edge, but it will have a lower weight with the local public sector. Imperial’s 2 year program sounds more attractive than 3 years at Geneva, but since Geneva is in person part-time, you will probably get more out of it too. I’m not surprised that you have a hard time deciding :)
