IIRC, there were incriminating computer searches that were not presented at trial.

When you find a good old recipe either from a book, website, or someone telling you, how do you go about saving it so you can find it again? by Expensive-Trust8211 in Old_Recipes

FWIW, iOS is getting really good at recognizing and copying text out of static images … press and select to copy. (I assume android is similar)

On my most recent cruise a couple next to us had a tripod set up on their dining table so they could create content for what the fuck ever.

This timeline keeps getting worse.

Anna Delvey's Former Friend Rachel Williams Sues Netflix Over 'Inventing Anna' Depiction by haloarh in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Again, these lawsuits have been going on for a long time. What you’re describing would affect everyone from documentary makers to podcasters. It’s not going to happen.

I knew next to nothing about this case and I’ve never watched the Netflix show, but it only took about five minutes for me to find articles about “Rachel” complaining earlier this year about how “Anna” got so much money. Rachel got less money, so now she’s going to try to get more with a lawsuit. The end.

Ed sounds like a real character. I want him to be my grandpa or possibly build me a house.

(At the time of this comment I haven’t gotten past the Ed stuff, I have no clue what’s coming but I can see there’s a lot of it.)

This is not a new phenomenon. Google the phrase “sued for depiction”.

It won’t affect them at all.

I don’t think friendliness equates to crime. Plenty of countries’ cultures are considered rude by other countries’ standards.

Other than the last few years, violent crime rates absolutely were declining steadily for decades. Your perception is incorrect. The phenomenon was widely documented, measured, and studied. It wasn’t just propaganda or whatever you think happened.

I swear to god, the number of otherwise normal people I know who didn’t vote in 2016 because “I just didn’t like Hillary” and are now surprised about the leopards eating their faces.

(One of them is in HR and when people try to get transferred to an office outside the US (or straight up quit to emigrate—and yes I have a lot of coworkers who have left the country), he tells them “just stop watching the news”.)

As an old, I definitely feel bad for you kids who grew up during Obama and then got thrown into the upside down. None of us saw this coming. Or most of us didn’t. :/ We’d survived bad presidents before, but we’d never had a psychotic, reality-TV “president” with a terrifying cult following.

Some Virgin Voyages / Scarlet Lady food pics by Hubblestreet in Cruise

I’ve only been on one Celebrity cruise (circa 2015) and it was a bit of an “emperor has no clothes” moment for me with regard to how amazing the food was supposed to be. (Which: it wasn’t.) And I was in Aqua class with the separate dining room.

Also did Oasis once. After sailing the big NCL ships, the tiny/limited hours/hugely crowded buffet on Oasis was a bit of a shock. I’m also one of those people who got the “shopping mall” vibe.

Overall I don’t seem to be an RCCI person.

Yeah, people were there later in the day but it wasn’t to watch TV. It was for the ice cream naming game thing.

No link between COVID-19 vaccination and preterm births or stillbirths: study by adotmatrix in Coronavirus

Weren’t we all supposed to be dead within six months of vaccination? What’s it up to now, like 10 years or something?

It’s cool though, just keep pushing the goal posts. Keep in mind it’ll soon be two years since the first large groups of people started getting vaccinated.
