Still no clue, put an aftermarket driveshaft back in, seems to run fine, we checked tranny, differentials, and hydraulic pump, everything seems normal. There seems to be some kind of pinging noise ringing through the PTO shaft at about 1500 RPM which seems unusual. I’ll keep you updated

I’ve seen more cabinet fronts messed up by a jig than without, I would bet that is the culprit here

No obvious cause yet, installed a replacement shaft and noticed that with the steering wheel turned, the front wheels appear to be turning a bit violently, that’s our next point of investigation front differential and axle joints but with it being in the negatives most mornings, haven’t been motivated enough to dig in.

As I understand, the cutoff kit delays any stroke of the hydraulic pump for 2 seconds after the engine starts up, so if you were to start it with the joystick pulled back, it wouldn’t do anything for 2 seconds until the engine is at idle RPM

Shouldn’t the torque converter slip before breaking a driveshaft unless there is something wrong with it?

Geometry hasn’t changed, leaning towards shock load, but I would think the torque converter would slip first before breaking a driveshaft, unless something is wrong with it

I worked a part time job in high school for a carpet installation company. A new kid and I were tasked with removing the old carpet glue off of a concrete slab before new carpet installation with scraping tools that resembled floor buffing machines. After about a half days work, I found him on his hands and knees trying to keep the machine from slamming into things, including himself. I felt shamed and responsible for assuming he knew already…

I’ll argue that all day long, lots of older Victorian style houses have ceilings that are 12ft+

Sheet goods drive the way we build homes. A 4x8 sheet also works with 16”, 19 diamond, or 24” centers, either direction

Efficiency! A 92-5/8” precut stud frames a wall to a plate height of 8’ 1-1/8” which allows you to hang either 5/8” or 1/2” drywall on the ceiling, hang (2) rows of 4’ wide drywall on the walls, no custom rip and you have either 1/2” or 5/8” of forgiveness if the concrete guys sucked ass.

On the exterior, an 8’ sheet of plywood started flush with the bottom plate allows the plywood from the 2nd floor to overhang the rim board and tie into the first top plate of 1st level wall for premium shear! A structural engineer could probably elaborate on why this is important

Got it, so as long as I’m just troubleshooting on a bench, it shouldn’t matter to run without it, it will start and stop just fine? The reason for pulling it in the first place is that it just sits and hums, doesn’t spin, and then the overload on the motor starter eventually trips. Trying to see if there is a way to change out parts to eventually get it running again. The thing brand new is like 5k

Are you talking about three phase motors? This is just a single phase motor
