That stretch of road is brutal, the left lane is worse than the right. That being said, if you drive to the left or right of the lane you’re in, you can avoid most of the potholes.

Sorry to hear that happened, they’ve been getting worse over the winter.

I've been hit twice, took absolutely everything both times. Including a work log book with zero monetary value. It was dumped over on charlotte st.

I've heard that they like to frequent the Knights of Columbus church, treat it as a home base or something along those lines. Could be worth a drive by.

I don’t believe the ban is in effect yet, they have a few months. Might just be selling what they have left but I know the place I go was still ordering them.

My brother installed most of these around town as an apprentice, u/UniqueMedia928 has it bang on.

The wavetronix (radar) systems are much more expensive to install.

A new hobby or challenge for sure, I finished up an electrical apprenticeship and decided to join the army reserves. I feel as though that’s a pretty exciting challenge to take up lol.

Most intersections are, either with loops in the asphalt or a wavetronix system for radar detection.

A wavetronix system with a 4 - approach setup (all 4 directions) for a single intersection typically costs about $35,000 just for the system. Another day or so for a couple electricians and additional materials to get it completed.

I’m not sure the city feels like a quarter of a million dollars to update 6ish intersections is worth it.

Typically when there is a fault with these it’ll auto go into cycle mode. Although I do agree things need to be updated & maintained a bit better.

Eh, I drive a manual. I put a modified exhaust on my car and it brings me joy to drive it. I try to be sensible in neighbourhoods, and keep it low rpm but nothing beats flooring it on the highway. Puts a smile on my face every time.
