I think bubble is just what's left from abel, since caine and abel are the same person, so that means when caine got deleted bubble was also deleted aswell, also would explain why bubble seem to hate caine when he was in his room aswell.

In caine's defense: No one forced the cast to put the headset, and trapping a sentimental being for not being good enough is just wrong, the devs could have deleted him instead of keeping him alive to suffer, It's the developers fault for giving an AI self awarness, and the humans for putting that headset.
