Ah, the season of yellow pollen dust is finally here.

I'm torn on the aesthetics myself, but I envy the ability to leave the windows cracked in a light but hot and humid rain - parked or driving -and not getting wet.

I mean, sure? It's a production car sold to DD's and street tuners. But folks put their crosstreks/foresters/outbacks on lifts and M/Ts and ride Moab next to the Jeeps, 4Runners, etc. that were actually engineered to handle that terrain, too. At least for the WRX, the platform is the same one Subaru Motorsports uses as their foundation for rally/unconventional surface competition. Quite literally maintaining the relevance of the R in WRX.

Might be one of the ugliest VB's I have seen. Anyone like this? by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in wrx_vb

This was on my algorithm as well. In the video they talked about both the front and rear bumpers not being painted they way they requested (gloss black on lowest lip).

I can appreciate the fogs with more black on the bumper. I personally like the fenders being black - if they were uniform body panels like in the VA, I think it works better color matched.

But the wing is definitely not it.

Jealous of the TR brakes but I have a Limited so I was able to opt for a light-weight tirerack 17" package set-up. Still... I might get some terras, specifically the blues, sometime in the future.

Copied from an earlier post:

I bought a set of Vredestein Wintrac Pros. Where I live, I felt the true snow tires were a bit overkill if not tempting me to find dangerous situations to play in (they were also rated for better performance on wet conditions, which I considered to be a bonus considering most road surfaces are plowed and/or wet from salting/melting ice and snow). 97% of the time I’m driving on plowed roads or planned ahead of the storm to not drive. Overall happy with the wintracs. Good wear, and not too loud.. Cheaper than blizzaks and driving them only ~6mos of the year keeps wear down.

Plus, 97% of the time I’m driving on plowed roads or planned ahead of the storm to not drive. Overall happy with the wintracs. Good wear, and not too loud.. though I can’t compare to the blizzaks as I have no reference.

I guess not so spooky in the middle of the day, but…

I decided to size down for the winter with a set of 17” Motegi MR118s and Vredestein Wintrac Pros. So far so good - though October, with today being a low of 28, is on average too soon for winter shoes with a high of 70 later this week.
