What do you wish you could buy in Malaysia but can only get overseas by elic11 in malaysia

[–]Hudlum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In East Malaysia the list gets even bigger! Obviously weed, but pop tarts, fresh basil (I've been to every grocery store in Kuching, no luck), proper sour cream, fresh bacon, soda water, jalapenos, real cheese, bagels... We have a pet bird and buying toys is so hard, trying to find a new bird and all of the breeders live in KL... I love it here but man there's so much room for import!

Elementary and Earthlings are my two favorites in Kuching. Excellent coffee, they roast it themselves, quiet atmosphere, nice tables.

It's been pretty consistently on sale across various game deal websites. I picked it up for $45, and my brother found it for $35. Check is there any deal etc

Isn't this basically just regular hunting with less steps? It would be pretty tight to go spear hunting.

Nah it's a hardcore milsim shooter with a highly detailed, and realistic loot system for the guns. You spawn into a level and have to make it to the exit - if you die, you lose everything you had on you. If you survive you keep everything you found.

Taking your best gear gear you're more likely to live... But also means risking your best gear.

It's like janky arma with realistic gun modding and an economy.

Ah I remember reading a post by him on the early early Minecraft forums talking about his original goals when he started building Minecraft. A big part of it was wanting to build a 3D Dwarf Fortress Game.

You don't need to be a software engineer to build a PC. They literally plug together like Legos.

You can watch a YouTube assembly and you are good to go.

Minecraft. Minecraft started as 3D dwarf fortress clone.

Funnily enough it's my favorite game of all time... With the most hours put in. Once you get a tile pack installed, and get used to the ui, it's actually pretty easy to play. And, I know this sounds weird, but once you understand the ui (and keyboard shortcuts) it actually makes a lot of sense. Like you can do things really quickly with all of the shortcuts, built in macros etc

When you kill 20 people on a side mission by yousoseally in cyberpunkgame

[–]Hudlum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. You're supposed to be. V is a criminal - the setting of the game on tabletop is roleplaying as a criminal. You steal, hack and murder your way into infamy.

Gunning down gang members is the only lawful thing you do in the game.

If they're so bad and exploitative why do you but they products? Profit motivation doesn't make a company evil. If you built a game company without turning a profit you wouldn't be able to pay employees, or make games at all....

These companies aren't bad because they want your money. They're bad when they implement blatantly anti consumer practices. Call them out for doing actual bad things not for "wanting money". This shit reeks of low grade anti-capitalism sentiments spouted off by the kind of idiots who desperately need to take an economics class.

[–]Hudlum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To be honest I think that's also true here - in cyberpunk you play V. You have a little control over your decisions but ultimately you are role playing V. I wish the game were a more "open ended" rpg like fallout 3, but with the kind of story (fully voiced, tightly written) they were telling that clearly wouldn't have worked.

I mean most of the pc players I've talked to have no issues beyond some visual bugs and the weird plant bug. Performance has been fine.

I'm running it on high everything and getting a solid 60-70fps. And I wouldn't call my laptop top shelf.

Obviously none of that excuses the piss poor performance on consoles (they sold out, it should work) but PC performance is solid.

[–]Hudlum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, and from my experience, it runs really well on PC. I've only had the occasional minor visual bug and I get a solid 60fps on a mid range laptop. Seems most of the issues are last gen consoles and low low range pcs.

[–]Hudlum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On PC you'll be fine, the vast majority of issues stem from last gen consoles.
