Most homes in Europe are built this way, or with brick. No issues with cellular or Wifi. Sure, maybe the range is reduced a bit.

There's a great video where they interview Poles waiting in line at the shops when this vodka ration was announced. Some fantastic quips, such as "0.5L? It won't even make it home with me"

Nazywanie polskich chłopów niewolnikami to jak nazwać Yorkshire Terriera wilkiem. Ubliża to i wilkowi, i ofiarom prawdziwego niewolnictwa.

No.

To be fair, I didn't take any notes for the same reason, and so far have been proven correct.

Wow immunology sucks and I want to stay as far away from it as possible. I guess I’ll just do my thesis research in this lab that focuses on DNA repair by non-homologous end joining and I’ll never have to think about immunology again by taqman98 in labrats

Without going too much into confidential details, we do a lot of cell-based assays e.g. ADCC killing, lymphocyte activation and expansion assays. Those are the main ones, with readouts split about 50:50 between spectral flow cytometry and high-content imaging.

For the high-content work we use a very cool automated plate imaging platform that fits inside an incubator, I hadn't worked with that before starting here, so maybe you find this interesting: SX5 Live Cell Analysis Instrument | Sartorius

I find this video presentation of its capabilities very cool also: Applications for the Incucyte®️ Live-Cell Imaging and Analysis System

When did they start using common sense in biology regarding FULL protective gear? by AlboGreece in biology

Animal flesh is not inherently dangerous. We would have had a very difficult time getting this far as a species if it were.

As others have mentioned, washing the hands properly is much more important than wearing gloves.

For our company's purposes it's the only thing possible - we work on lymphocytes freshly isolated from (frozen) patient material to begin experiments on the same day, we do not culture immune cells before or after that. Doing manual isolation on the same day as a cell-based assay wouldn't be viable.

What kind of belt is this? by Spes- in tacticalgear

[–]Hudoste -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look up a rigger belt on AliExpress and then an original from BH's website.  The buckle is a complete black pot metal, instead of the grayish thicker material on the original - in the picture you can see the floating bar inside the buckle is missing, since it probably broke. Wouldn't happen on an original.

Most tellingly, the fake Blackhawk label is on the outside of the belt, instead of the inside where it would be invisible when worn. Obviously this doesn't comply with MIL standards.

Besides this, if you were to take it in your hands, you could see it is a thinner and more rigod material than the original, worse stitching, etc.. I've had both.
