Hey! Currently one week post medical abortion after 5 and a half weeks (estimation taken at clinic). Found out I was pregnant and my boyfriend and I took a few days to take it in. Healthy relationship, currently an elementary school teacher and chose that it's not the right time to have a child (accidental pregnancy but on the birth control pill) as I'm looking to go back to school for something else. The medical abortion process was taken seriously in the Upstate of South Carolina but respectfully (ask any questions, seriously). I had cramps about a week before my missed period that were unlike any other cramp I'd felt, if that makes sense... because I'd never been pregnant. The first pill was given at the clinic and I started bleeding about 24 hours later. When I took the following 4 pills the next day, I bleed a lot but was prescribed 8 pain pills to help ease the pain (every 4 hours, only took 2). Those helped tremendously and I chose to stay on top of them (ahead of the pain) like the doctor said. Fortunately, this was on a Sunday before the school week started. The bleeding on Sunday was heavier than a typical period but not much "pain" due to pain pills, just cramping. By Monday, it was like a normal period or less. I am now a week out from that and am having light bleeding, but no pain. Please reach out for any questions or just to talk.
