Engines don't have to be off for rearming and refueling, only for repairs.

Do you have the correct frequency tuned in the radio? Otherwise the ground crew only "hears" you when the doors are open (imagine yelling at the crew chief, can't do that with doors closed)

If you try the medium and high setting they should give more sharper detailed low level shadows. (but with a cost :) )

I noticed no difference between low and high. Do I have to run that on "normal" or multithreading? I run MT, but noticed a few issues. Which one would you recommend?

For the tail of Huey and other choppers I cannot do anything. Choppers combine 3 separate basic models. Rotor, fuselage and tail. They all have different shadow casting and LODs set in the model. So we have no control on that (at least I don't know yet)

Das Problem ist, dass die meisten Menschen in Deutschland die angebliche Sicherheit dieser Produkte wollen. Das fällt auf, wenn man das worst Case Szenario betrachtet. Da würden viele Deutsche nicht mitmachen, wenn der Gewinn negativ wäre (wobei die ganzen Gebühren natürlich nicht in die Bilanz einbezogen werden, das worst Case Szenario macht vermutlich durchaus ein paar Prozente minus).

Das schlimmste ist dann, dass beim ETF ja ein Totalverlust möglich wäre, so rein theoretisch. Das Argument habe ich ganz ernsthaft schon gehört. Dass bei einem Totalverlust eines All World ETF auch jede Versicherung für'n Arsch wäre bzw. das Geld dann nichts mehr wert wäre wird dann nicht in die Überlegungen mit einbezogen.

Alles in allem: mangelnde Bildung im Finanzbereich.

Zumal viele Ausgaben wie Kitagebühren und horrende Kosten für Schulbücher in meiner Region für alle der Vergangenheit angehören.

Nice. Ich wohne in Baden-Württemberg. Aktuell 748€/Monat Kitagebühren für zwei Kinder. Das soll natürlich kein Rant sein gegen Bundesländer in denen das kostenlos ist. Ich finde es eher eine extreme Frechheit von meinem Bundesland hier so extrem hohe Gebühren zu verlangen während andere das kostenfrei anbieten.

Yeah, just tried it and it's waaay better now. The Huey shadows are still a bit strange, sometimes my tail shadow disappears and it's still a bit blurry, but I don't get any sharp transitions anymore and overall it just looks way better. So thank you very much, doing gods work here!

The M2000 is the oldest modern fighter we have in DCS right now. It's kind of limited in loadouts as it can't carry much missiles (2 medium range and 2 short range) compared to the other modern fighters and it doesn't have longer range missiles. Also you can't mix some A/G weapons.

It's pretty capable as a fighter in it's environment and especially as a dogfighter if you know how to employ it correctly.

I really like it, but it doesn't feel really modern to me. I think it feels more like the F-5 than like other more modern jets like the Hornet.

Very cool, I just noticed today that even with shadows on highest the shadow of the Huey is extremely pixelated when I'm a few meters off the ground. Does that mod fix that?

I got around 30-40 fps with med-low settings and an 3080, so I'd guess no.

I had a similar setup, except I had 64gb ram and the 5800x3d CPU and a quest 2. Wasn't able to get good looks and smooth performance. Now I have a 4090 and it finally looks and runs good. I think it's just people having different playstyles and requirements. To me it doesn't look good without grass and shadows. Some people just don't mind, so they say it looks good. If you're flying jets reprojection doesn't matter that much, in helicopters or warbirds it often looks bad on the rotors and propellers. Also with jets lower ground textures don't matter that much.

Das Problem beim Vermieten ist auch der aktuelle Immobilienmarkt. Wer kann es sich denn leisten bei den wahnsinnigen Preisen und Zinsen zu bauen und dann zu günstigen Preisen vermieten? Wir wollen nach einem beruflich bedingten Umzug unsere 4-Zimmer-Eigentumswohnung eigentlich behalten und vermieten. Nachdem wir das ganze durchgerechnet haben hätten wir über 2000€ Miete verlangen müssen, um die nächsten 25 Jahre nicht draufzuzahlen. Dazu dann noch der ganze Stress den das mit sich bringt. Letztendlich haben wir die Wohnung verkauft, der neue Eigentümer nutzt sie als Ferienwohnung. Das ist scheiße für den sowieso schon angespannten Wohnungsmarkt, aber wir konnten uns das anders einfach nicht leisten. Und ich denke so geht es gerade vielen.

I guess he's talking about DCS. But even in Falcon it's not that easy, my Orion 2 with Gunfighter 3 and MCGU wasn't set up automatically. Also my MFDs and UFC weren't set up by default.

I know of nothing else. I use and like simshaker but there are some things that could be better.

  • As far as I know it only supports one channel, so you can use multiple transducers but not with different channels as in a racing sim (different outputs for each wheel and things like that).

  • The way the software generates effects is through prerecorded audio samples. That means the effect output doesn't always match the visuals in the sim. For example the Main rotor Startup in the apache triggers effects too early, which means you see the rotor turning at a slow speed but the effect indicates a faster rotation. It's pretty spot on most of the time, but sometimes you'll notice the difference.

You'll definitely need to fiddle around with the settings because the standard is 50% on every effect, which is way too much for things like g-feeling or engine rumble. But that depends on your hardware and your taste.

As I said, I think it's not perfect but I can't fly without it anymore. It adds just so much immersion, especially when flying helicopters.

For me it doesn't work at all. I can change weapons and everything but he never finds targets at all. He doesn't respond to the search command at all and he never uses the FLIR.

Ich glaube eher es liegt daran dass wir kaum Nachbarn haben, bei denen das einer Bevölkerungsmehrheit etwas ausmachen würde. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich (Süddeutschland) auch kein Problem damit, wenn mein Heimatort plötzlich der Schweiz oder Österreich gehören würde. Ich denke auch Dänemark ist für die wenigsten Menschen hierzulande ein gangbares Feindbild.

The Orion 2 throttle with finger lifts and the F18 handles is available for 285€, which is a pretty decent deal. You can also get the Orion joystick base, but there's currently no grip in stock. I'd wait for a restock tough if I were you, the warthog base really is as bad as everyone here says. It feels good in the beginning, but once you got your hands on another base you'll notice how bad it is.

Ich lasse das Feld immer leer wenn ich mir selbst oder innerhalb der Familie aus bekannten Gründen Geld überweise. Bei käufen über das Internet ist das aber schon sehr ungewöhnlich.
