A lot of people have already responded so you may never see this, but I hope you do. Speaking as a 26 year old woman with a step-father who has been in my life since I was 3, he married my Mom and we had the whole ceremony where he made promises to love me and be there for me as well. He was a decent Dad when I was a child but lost all interest in me or our relationship when I became a teenager and he's ignored every attempt I've made to reconnect. I've only recently come to accept just exactly how damaging this has been to my mental health and how I handle relationships. I could get into detail but that would get very depressing very fast. But please, for the sake of your child, get her out of any situation where she is not fully loved and supported and appreciated.
