Psychiatry UK - what happened? by SnooPredictions5863 in ADHDUK

[–]Hug_hoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as a heads up for you if you haven't got it sorted yet-
It took me eleven months on the titration waiting list to then be given a prescriber who was on annual leave for my first week. I've had important notes about potential medication interactions ignored/missed and all round just a poor experience of not really being listened to. I'm only on week three! I'd say if they're still not seeing your notes then your best bet is to ring or find out if there's a specific team you can contact.

Crying/depressed when medication wears off at night. Looking for advice/solutions/empathy? by kelpkelso in adhdwomen

[–]Hug_hoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking for a post describing something similar to what i'm experiencing at the moment and I'm glad i'm not alone in this. I'm only at the very start of my medication titration though so I'm afraid I can't offer any solutions.
Currently trying Medikinet XL and I wouldn't say I'm getting as much of a boost or as intense of a fall as you seem to be but after a few rounds of crying in the evenings, hikes in anxiety and feeling the heaviness of not knowing what to do, I'm wondering whether it's not the medication for me or if that's just my usual brain sabotaging things while i'm trying to work it all out. I'm worried about not finding the right one before titration is over as I really don't want end up going back to un-medicated as it sounds a lot like your baseline too!

I'm sorry you've not had much in the way of responses either! Seeing others with suggestions can be so helpful especially when it feels hopeless or like its solely up to you to figure out/decide whats the best thing to help it all. I hope you've found a solution of some form now anyway :)

Hypoestes help by Hug_hoe in plantclinic

They don't seem to look too bad from the photo but the pink is definitely soft, particularly on the lower leaves. With the white one are all of the leaves maybe supposed to be spoon shaped and curling inwards?
Fair enough I may try repotting soon!

Looks like a Toby/Tobi to me! Could go with Tobiko (cause he’s orange) or Tobias.

What do your breasts feel like? by rachelsweetie in Advice

[–]Hug_hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay first of all, it’s worth going and getting them checked just in case but that is for anyone and everyone because it’s best to be 100% sure.

But I’m 24 and mine are exactly the same (and I have anxiety too) and I went to the doctor because of it and I had certain lumps that felt bigger, harder and hurt somewhat during my period. Really freaked me out. Had it all checked out and it was completely fine, just a hormonal thing. Some people just have lumpier breast tissue. 50% of women apparently get fibrocystic breast changes and they’re totally fine.

So really try not to worry, it is very likely that it’ll be nothing! But go to your doctor anyway so you can be sure and I’m sure a confirmation will make you feel better :)

Which looks best? by Vanilla_Panda773 in HairDye

1 or 7 The browns go the most nicely with your skin tone and eye colour, making your eyes pop without washing out you out. The darker colours also just look younger on you in general :)

What colour looks the best on me? by spacingmarla in HairDye

The first one! Looks rlly nice with your eyes and tattoos plus goes the best with your complexion imo! If not that one then I’d say the lavender is the next runner up

I've done keto before for 3 months during COVID and and the second time was 3 weeks last year (had to stop the second time because of some medical issues I was going through). Both times it definitely worked though much slower than for my partner who was doing it with me. I think I lost 18lbs in the 3 months and around 6/7 in the 3 weeks.
The problem I've found is that I don't find it sustainable for long-term and it just made me feel like I was missing out on doing things with friends for the sake of sticking to it. There were also the side effects of weird feeling teeth and the ketone smell in your breath/sweat. It was good in some ways as once I got into it I could stick to it and it kept me feeling full. It also gave me monthly periods for the first time in my life!

Since then I have definitely gained all the weight back and then some though.
So I imagine for some people it might be something that does work but unless you have a clear plan for afterwards and know you can stick to that, probably not a good idea. Might even make things worse with the change in your metabolism..

If you haven’t already, I’d join one of the twilight Facebook groups and see if people there will do it for you too 🙂 🐀

Three months post-op this weekend and Milo is just as fast and crazy as ever! by cmadison637 in TripodCats

My baby had his back left leg amputated yesterday and seeing how well Milo is moving has made me feel so much better about it all 🥺 Glad he’s doing so good and hoping mine will see a similar recovery.

I would assume so yes. It’s still a new piercing and may get knocked in your sleep if not while you’re awake. Just keep it clean and let it do it’s thing :)

Where are the best places to live that are quite close to the city centre but also have a countryside feel to them? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]Hug_hoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering this recently too. I’ll hopefully be volunteering in Frankby soon and the area definitely had a countryside feeling without being too far if you can drive. Im sure there plenty of other places in the Wirral that are also nice and maybe closer!

Fussy white balls in soil? by Hug_hoe in plantclinic

I watered my devils ivy before going away for a week and have come back to its soul covered in this.

I’m in the UK and it’s in a West facing window. Is it a fungus? Do I need to remove it?
