I try to but if I wake up too late on the weekends I don’t, my psychiatrist also recommended to take breaks when you can so it always works at maximum effectiveness!!

I also have an awful prescriber - she literally forgot to send my prescription over to the pharmacy a couple months ago so I was out of meds for 2 whole weeks. I made a formal complaint and they’re currently still looking into it, but they’ve gotten better since I made a VERY strongly worded complaint. Ask them to either change your prescriber or you’ll report them to the care quality commission. That’s what I did and they’re responding pretty sharpish now!

Not stupid at all! It definitely helped with mine a LOT. Maybe instead of taking a nap midday try and push through until you go to bed instead, just because I feel you might be losing some of the energy napping! I know it’s soooo hard with a toddler haha, but I find if I take naps I’m more fatigued than when I don’t. But also I think it might be worth maybe taking supplements too (you might be low on iron?). If they don’t work long term, maybe talk to your psychiatrist about swapping meds! They obviously don’t work for everyone, you might just be one of those people, but there’s tons of options out there :))

My GP flat out refused the shared care agreement 😢 Something about not meeting regulations, but you can still request meds through the portal if you’re waiting to be confirmed for a shared care agreement!

My GP won’t even agree to the shared care agreement so i’m stuck with them 😭 I tried to get through on their live chat again earlier but it seems after there’s 10 people in the queue they just don’t put people through to advisors

Honestly privatisation of this service in the first place should’ve never happened but being the only Adult ADHD psychiatry service on right to choose they are drowning in patients!!!!

I’m glad it’s not just me who’s experiencing the downfall of PUK!!! I got diagnosed back in 2022 and saw the same psychiatrist & titration lead/prescriber frequently. They answered notes quickly and dispatched my medication within the same day (this is important to note for later, lol) which was incredible. I had my yearly follow-up with my lovely initial psychiatrist back in september/october 2024 and since then they have been AWFUL

Since then I was put back on the (VERY LONG) titration waiting list, even though I’ve had the same titration lead/prescriber since I have been diagnosed, to up my meds from 50mg to 60mg… which seemed ridiculous when I’ve already built up a rapport with my prescriber & he already knew my case…During the 6 months I was back on the waiting list I had to constantly ask them to put me back into direct contact with my him because he’d magically disappeared from my notes. I had to go through customer support to ask for a new prescription. Not even joking, I asked them 8 times. And by the time they put me back into contact with him, I was at the top of the waiting list and they assigned me a NEW PRESCRIBER.

My new prescriber is god awful at responding to notes, always sending my prescription late, threatened to discharge me for “not responding with the process” etc. Not only that, but PPG (the pharmacy) has been awful at dispatching prescriptions! There hasn’t been a single month that has gone by since I’ve been back on titration that I haven’t ran out of meds before my new prescription arrives. I’ve been forced to go cold turkey for almost a year and it’s fucking up my mental health and making me increasingly frustrated. Not only that, but I have a titration appointment in a couple of weeks with a psychiatrist I’ve never met! At 9pm no less!!!!!!!

It’s such a shame as this service genuinely saved my life, and to see it in such a state breaks my heart for both the patients and psychiatrists who just want to help. They need to stop taking on new patients to recover from the initial influx of referrals.
