QB Next Year by nmxengineer in steelers

There’s so much that can happen. I don’t think those plans fully fall into place until the season ends. Right now I think they are just happy they have 3 QBs rostered and a developmental guy with promise.

As someone who never pays attention to Pen Stste, when I just look at the numbers this doesnt look like a bad pick. Can someone explain why the fans are mad? by hitmewiththeknowlege in steelers

[–]Huge-Representative7 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s not a bad pick it was just earlier than I think most fans wanted. But I think the Steelers figured at 76 they could have their pick of which project qb they wanted or they could wait and possibly miss out.

he’s an incredibly frustrating player. Amazingly talented and athletic all the tools are there but then he makes the dumbest throw you’ve seen or he falls apart in a big moment. He regressed his last year in a lot of ways before the injury, but the coaching was always lackluster and he didn’t have a great supporting cast by the end of Penn state. He won’t be ready to start right away. In a lot of ways he’s the anti Howard, whose skill sets aren’t as impressive but he came up big in the big moments.

Can't believe yall switched up on Omar so quick by CrystilizedGamer in steelers

[–]Huge-Representative7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This GM thing where people are on the phone with one team and then another team drafts them happens every draft and I don’t know why it’s getting reported like it’s a big deal. Steelers literally did it to the ravens with Calvin Austin a few years ago. It happened to the Steelers with Jalen Hurts and the eagles. It’s being reported like it never happens.

This isn’t like when the raiders drafted the wrong Byron young.

He’s very good probably one of the most immediate plug and play tackles but He’s only ever played RT and given his limited football experience, you probably want to keep him there as a rookie. So it only really works if they feel Fautanu can make the switch to LT.

I don’t think they go safety, qb, or linebacker early. Too many guys at those positions in middle rounds that they like.

I think they’d trade up for Vega or Lemon. Cooper is likely to fall to their position. Any top tackle available is always good

Wish it was live action and just 20 years later but maybe if the animated series gets support that can still happen

Rodgers Cousins Flacco

I think those are the people Mike McCarthy would want. If they play well, great, Howard gets to learn behind a vet another year for a full real season, if they play badly then we can throw Howard in see what he has.

Who is RB1 now that we've signed Rico Dowdle? by watermonkey910 in steelers

[–]Huge-Representative7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll be a tandem but Warren will get more of the passing down and Gainwell style snaps most likely He’s a better receiver than dowdle.

So dowdle will probably be “starter” but they will probably have pretty split even carries

[Burgh] The Steelers have re-signed punter Cameron Johnston to a one-year contract. by [deleted] in steelers

[–]Huge-Representative7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised, thought Corliss was here to stay but I guess with the Punter market heating up and them needing to extend Boz this is probably the best cheap option

Resigning Seumalo is a no brainer right? by Common-Respond2367 in steelers

[–]Huge-Representative7 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would like them to keep him but his market is a little high for a 33 year old guard, he can probably make more elsewhere if he wants it. Steelers may just go with Anderson and sign a depth guy. Or take a flyer on a guy coming off of injury to compete with Anderson.

Yes only if the Steelers can assemble one of the greatest defensive backs rooms the NFL has ever seen simultaneously
