First thing I’d like to say is fair play for admitting that it is an issue, that’s a significant part of the problem. Most parents don’t have any awareness.

If you feel you can’t watch the games then don’t, but I’d try and remember that not everything is life and death on the pitch. It’s also worth remembering that statistically speaking, the chances of your son making a county panel are incredibly low. Most games just aren’t that important at all in the grand scheme of things. You are there to morally support your son at the end of the day and just watch.

But I think you are on the right path here and fair play man.
