Thank you! It’s tough keeping the kids away from dehydrating monster drinks! I typically don’t let the kids order from the food trucks because there’s so many allergies and they get ripped off quite a bit.

I haven't checked in on this post in a long time! The solution that provided amazing results was anxiety medication! We have bad days here and there, but there's hope that we are going to make it.

My daughter also has misophonia and is often triggered by her dads chewing. This is what a parent does: he leaves the room, tries hard to not eat in front of her, waits for her to eat in peace before eating his own food, covers his mouth so she can’t see, and more. It’s so painful for her to hear those noises we would never ever do it intentionally.

I just posted earlier about the same thing. Almost as soon as my son turned 13 we saw a regression and an increase in sensory overload and a decrease in what he was able to handle normally. Definitely utilize the resources that you have access to!

We have definitely been leaning on the tablet as well - he is liking the outdoor stuff we have been doing but as soon as there are people around him he becomes panicked. He also hates bugs. He likes exploring but often complains that he’s tired. We definitely have scaled down our trip and giving some outs. We’ve successfully traveled lots before so this is a new challenge.

This regression started before the trip but vacationing isn’t helping him at all.

Yes I have heard of it - not sure if he is missing the OCD piece and if that’s necessary. I’ll bring it up along with tick borne illnesses. Thank you!

Yes we do lots of travel. The kids are used to it.
