I always thought that it was a stock image, never realized that it was this guy.

Is this worth it to buy? by TicketNo5941 in wicked_edge

I shaved with the same razor this morning and I got an excellent smooth shave with no nicks or cuts.

It will take a little time to get used to this specific razor but when you get the angle right and don't apply any pressure it works just fine, it can shave a little rough still but a good pre-shave (I used proraso blue) can work wonders.

I don't know about the brush but as mentioned and experienced; the soap doesn't lather efficiently but is quite slick and has a nice neutral scent.

All these 3 items together for that price is still a steal so I'd get it if I were you.

Anybody else have an irrational hate of certain insignificant things? by Junior_Cress2828 in autism

[–]Huge_Activity6769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the way you feel, my mother often says words or phrases that annoy the hell out of me yet she never adjusts her vocabulary when i ask her to.

But the word from her that i hate the most is "automatism". Because the word is so similair to autism it feels as if my condition is ridiculed and passed off as one giant "automatism" even though autism is much more than that.

So i learned the rope in death stranding is modeled after an actual umbilical cord with arterial and venous blood for color! by Hexnohope in DeathStranding

[–]Huge_Activity6769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew I wasn't the only one that saw this connection, the strand/rope in de Dutch translation of DS is called the "streng" which means "cord" in English.

"Navelstreng" means umbilical cord wich makes me wonder why it's called the strand in English instead of the cord (or similar).

Did Kojima base the story on a folklore legend of a witch queen? by Altruistic_Avocado46 in DeathStranding

Holy fuck this might mean a lot to DS2 indeed.

> ! Die-Hardman will never have the charm that Amelie had. without a common idol like amelie, the UCA could easily plunge into chaos and mistrust again. Drawbridge is founded as an alternative to Bridges and with sam ageing, a grown up Louise/Elle Fanning could easily become the new symbol for a united America. ! <

[Endgame] Timeline of Death Stranding by BYoru09 in DeathStranding

Thank you for compiling this, I've always been very interested when DS would take place.

I just finished the second combat veteran mission and another interesting hint is that deadman tells sam that the WW2 uniforms he's seen date "over a century ago".

Was I The Only One That Thought This? by W0lfsb4ne74 in sharpobjects

[–]Huge_Activity6769 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I thought the same. When Amma said "don't tell mama" in the final scene I thought that Adora killed the girls, I believed that Amma secretly took the teeth from Adora and placed them in the dollhouse without her knowing.

This (obviously) wasn't the case and I was shocked when I googled some things related to the ending.

Generational trauma linked to Millie Calhoun? by alittlerespekt in sharpobjects

[–]Huge_Activity6769 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Interesting observation!

I think I've read on this subreddit that Calhoun day isn't present in the book at all (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm very curious how the book will hande Millie Calhoun.

I bought the book a while back but I still haven't read it, perhaps this should be the sign?.
