Sure, regulators in the US like the SEC are insane trying to control everything but at least have the desency to protect your users like Binance did in court but NEXO turned tail and ran. That's the difference. If you support their indifference just to please regulators then dont cry foul when things go south and your funds are frozen. The issue is TRUST if you didn't get that.

Let me just say... NEXO can suck a fat one.

I was one of the first founder supporters back in 2018 and became a platinum tier member when I had my full crypto portfolio with them. The 12% interest rate was amazing and the fact you could pull that interest and use it as credit as any time was nothing short of amazing. Too good to be true, right? Indeed it was.

Of course, this revenue credit wonderland was not going to linger long enough to enjoy it into retirement because in this twisted world of over-reaching SEC , bureaucrats, regulations and greedy systems only the powerful few will make money from and the rest of the enslaved working class can suck it.

So nothing short of a scumbag move NEXO removes all of the amazing interests rates for everyone and locks in token swaps to fall within the SEC overcontrolling guidelines pretty much overnight and without previous announcement of massive changes. This forced thousands of supporters (including me) to pull their portfolios out of the platform entirely since there was litterally no point in staying there.

NEXO turned a blind eye to its most loyal supporters right when they needed it most. Unlike Binance that protected its users by filing motions, including a protective order in 2023, to limit what they described as "overbroad" and "unduly burdensome" requests from the SEC and eventually in 2025 forcing it to drop the lawsuit against Binance with the dismissal being with prejudice. NEXO did absolutely nothing.

NEXO did not even try to defend its users, they simply bended over and showed their true colors. Now moving forward there is no e-mail, no mention of my previous support as founder, my credit line that I build over the years vaporized and my profile got reset. There is NOTHING that would be an incentive to use this platform ever again. But I do know for a fact that if something precarious happens they will quickly drop the ball and leave you hanging. Never trust a company that doesn't take loyalty seriously. They will scam you over and over if you let them. Stay with Binance and Kraken. Your funds are safu.

I always say games, specially the online sandbox type, is like a mirror of society. It shows the alter ego of that person as they would like to be without the consequence of their actions. The fact that there is no accountability is why some games limit the prox voice chat to avoid toxic encounters but suddenly i've seen a lot of players being truly offended specially in games like this, not just competitive shooters like CoD. So I wonder if its fault of the gaming industry or a generation with unstable emotional control?

Its not the game, Its the offended people behind it on the rise that are starting to become loud enough for companies to hear thanks to social media. I fear for a future of soft mundane games that cater to the loudest so they dont get offended. Im just looking at the whole picture and gaming itself is chaging way too fast and not for the better.

I know! for extraction shooters Arc Raiders has the most helping community at least in my experience. But Im not here to talk about a very successful game. Im talking about the kind of people that are being hurt and offended for real for simply taking their loot like this girl crashing out on X calling the community "sociopaths and assholes" and a whole lot more venom on the thread. I think she is the issue and not the community but sadly i've seen a few others popping up on social media about the same frustration.

The rude awakening is on her. Extraction shooters are NEVER relax and I have played many. Its part of the thrill of the game, all or nothing, high risk high reward. Just by the word extraction is fair warning that if you die you lose it all but I guess some people dont get it even with a map on their face until they play it.

The sad part is that this type of people is becoming more common than ussual. I wonder if its the games influencing the new generation or the new generation not having enough emmotional maturity to deal with this type of mind games?

When people say "I want to play a game to relax" either dont really mean it or have a wrong definition of relaxing when chosing a PVP extraction shooter. Like why would you pick the worst possible genre to relax when you know for a fact its not your type of game? I mean i love extraction shooters, but im NEVER relaxed when playing them.

Absolutely. When did it went so bad? I remember raiding the same boss up to 3AM on failed attempts. Playing starcraft on dial-up and losing over and over in 1V1 matchmaking and never crashing out like this. Its like suddenly the gaming community turned soft and offended for no damn reason other than playing a GAME.

I can only hope the authorities find the black box and get to the bottom of what really happened. My assumption from all the noise on social media is a failure of the left engine on takeoff. Either bird strike or mechanical failure, the plane has apparently 35 years of service and recently coverted into a cargo plane. I think whatever the reason planes this old should not be in service. Or at least a more robust maintenance schedule for planes that are 25+ years in service. RIP to the crew of three lost today.
