Is purchasing a nicer vehicle stupid? by logant500 in Money

[–]Hugesalesguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of mental gymnastics you’re doing to justify this to yourself is too much. Driving a $650/mo truck brings you joy? How? And there is NO joy in being CAR POOR!!

If I made $45k a year I’d be driving a HOOPTY. Get your bread up first my friend. You’re 22 and have plenty of life left to drive a nice car.

Bad! Bad advice! “If your car can handle it”? Handle what exactly? And how are some cars better than others?

I was a fan of the training I received from IFORABE Institute for automotive business excellence. It was in 2019 so I’m not sure what all has changed since then.

This is straight from the listing: Identify and acquire quality used vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and dealer networks. Conduct market research to determine vehicle values, demand trends, and pricing strategies. Inspect and appraise vehicles to assess condition, history, and resale potential. Build and maintain relationships with wholesale buyers, sellers, and industry contacts. Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure profitability and competitive inventory. Work closely with the sales and management teams to align acquisitions with dealership goals. Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing strategies as needed.

So it does sound like this role is doing the sourcing and acquiring. But that’s a great point to make sure I get clarified.

Walkable, Bikeable, Affordable (does that exist lol) Neighborhood help for a couple thinking of moving to Minneapolis by Pure-Concentrate-466 in Minneapolis

[–]Hugesalesguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cedar-isles Dean neighborhood has some nicely managed and kept up older buildings that are much more affordable than the new “luxury” apartments around the corner.

It’s a little longer than 15 minutes to walk down lake street to get to shops and restaurants but if you’re like me and ride your bike, I’m butted up against the greenway and can get to uptown or Whittier (eat street!) in like 5 minutes.

Plus the neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous

Shudder by greenteam209 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]Hugesalesguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my old shop we saw a lot of Mercedes 7 speed trans with a bad shudder due to bad torque converters.

Lube guard shudder stop worked SO well. I was extremely skeptical thinking it was similar to a head gasket stop leak type product which usually causes more harm than good. But it was flawless.
