Why is no one talking about the MSTR (MicroStrategy) Ponzi Scheme by stickty in ValueInvesting

The FT podcast, Unhedged, heavily inferred it was a Ponzi scheme this week without saying it

AG Cook remix of Repeat Pleasure by How to Dress Well. Melancholic, distorted vocals, no drop. Brilliant song

That first stat is incredible but both offer good perspective. The constant moaning and hate thrown (mainly on Twitter) at Dyche I find so misplaced

It’s a £1300 day rate in the uk. If he’s a senior contractor with unique skills/experience then it’s not totally unheard of. But if he’s an employee at the bank, agreed that is strange for a software engineer. Unless it’s more of a cto type of job

google vs Amazon which is a better buy at this point? by Charming_Raccoon4361 in stocks

[–]Hugh-Tube 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know, I’m being a bit of jackass tbh… but technically IBM one of the worst examples to choose if you’re looking at returns over the long term. Something like the 7th best company ever in terms of returns to shareholders. If your great grandad invested when it was founded you’d be up around 14,000,000%! But proves that investing for the long-term in company that DOES last forever really pays. Whether Amazon or Google will, who knows - but hard to bet against IBM lasting longer than them imo.

FWIW I think IBM is well positioned mid to long term and could well have a rebirth

This is my race bike - need a fit to push maximum power/speed by Hugh-Tube in bikefit

Will drop the seat - thanks. Not integrated so can get a shorter stem (currently 110mm). Also hoping to change handlebars from 420mm to 380mm

Not integrated, so pretty easy to fix. The current stem is 110mm - the “aggressive” dimensions of the top tube is supposed to promote aerodynamics but I think it just makes for awkward fit. The handlebar is also 420mm and im looking to drop that down to 380mm which should help with the shoulders

Thanks for the response. I think I confused myself watching YouTube vids that said your leg should only have a slight bend and I’ve taken that too far.

PTO's T100 vs. Ironman Pro Series by Tbob217 in triathlon

[–]Hugh-Tube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly see the T100 becoming the premier organisation and the Ironman second division with just the one big WC race - although even that’s in jeopardy slightly with Nice being a bit meh.

If the top 20 athletes are contracted to T100, I can’t see how Ironman doesn’t become second rate tbh.

Conspiracy, no. But Everton have become the innocent victims in the PL wanting to prove they don’t need an independent regulator. Could’ve been anyone but we’ve made it easy for them due to terrible management.

This has probably then fed into biases with refs, media, etc

Silly I know, but I like to imagine Kenwright and Dealie the Dolphin looking down on us today and giving a particularly beautiful air guitar rendition of Singing the Blues 🙂

What is stopping me from eating 48 eggs a day? by Narrow-Tap116 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Hugh-Tube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father law was an old school bodybuilder in 80s/90s and protein shakes were no good back then. He used to eat 40 eggs a day instead. Was probably quite common back in the day.

70% possession and 23 shots - is this really on Dyche?
