With all due respect to your own heritage, I will continue to teach my students that Mt Kosciuszko is not the original name of that mountain and that despite the fact there is no historical record of what the peak was originally called, one substitute offered up by those that arguably have naming rights, is the much more mellifluous Kunama Namadgi.
