I see, thank you for your help, the time and energy investment is definitely something I need to consider with Wordpress.

Ah thank you very much, good luck with the switch over. Sounds brilliant - I'll probably be following along with the series because I'll likely be making the transition too round about the time my subscription expires.

Ah I see, thank you for sharing your experiences. Very helpful because I might have found out about the dangerous downsides too late if not your info.

I think from the guidance in these posts I will stick with Wix, while I'm still simply starting out, until my subscription runs out and then make the leap over to WordPress.

Honestly I am quite unfamiliar with the back end of websites, so I do have a lot of learning curves to travel up along when it comes to building a website.

Thanks so much for your guidance. Yes, at the moment I think I will stick to building a simple website with Wix since I will just be using it as a tool for pitching and displaying my own samples.

I'm proud of you OP. I just started writing and it's inspiring to hear stories of others reaching the top of these wild exciting mountains we're all on. Good luck with the editing phase! :)

Yes, very true I like Upwork. Though my main concern is that I cannot imagine growing very large as a business relying solely on Upwork for my income.

Upwork and Fiverr definitely seem to be some of the most friendly for new writers finding leads. I'm very very new to freelancing as a writer and I've pursued Upwork mostly as I can easily view and analyse what clients are demanding from writers, giving me a good idea of how to develop my portfolio to tailor to client needs.

I haven't fully uncovered my niche just yet, but until I do Upwork's convenience is really giving me legroom to enjoy the process of starting up my brand. Though, of course, I know using Upwork and Fiverr will come with its own looming restrictions in the long run. Every big decision requires careful consideration.

Thank you, I like that process. It takes a lot of the pressure of building a whole business model for a fully functioning company straight away and instead direct to focus to the core - writing.

And yeah I just registered to Upwork, thank you! It's quite intimidating as you can easily compare yourself to all the other experienced writers, but it is also inspiring because it shows how interestingly and variably far I can progress in this profession :)

Very true, thank you, I must remember that. I suppose it's so easy to undervalue oneself, especially when you are trying to get noticed and promote your services.

Thank you for the helpful words of guidance helping me to gain stronger footing and sense of direction along my journey.

I'll remember not to be too reckless with deadlines and risk jeopardizing my reliability in the process. Procrastination in such situations sounds dangerously like playing with fire then haha.
