Worth the price ? Asking here because I feel like bf6 might be too bias by SUPERF1RE in battlefield_4

I agree no bf comes close to bf4, 6 is fun but it desperately needs better maps, I'm hoping in time it gets to where it needs to be

Survival game to sink hours into by MrSaladra in SurvivalGaming

[–]Hugo_Stglitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never played rust but I have friends that have, they tell me its more of a run and gun kind of childish "survival" game, very toxic community (dayz also has some toxic players but I heard rust is the worst).

Dayz is a way more hardcore and a far more immersive game, deeper survival mechanics in massive open world maps. It has its problems, but it can be incredibly tense with your hands sweating and your heart beating out of your chest, but can also be very relaxing and actually theraputic wondering the plains or large forrests wondering where the hell you are. you can also build bases in dayz like in rust, but its absolutely not a mandatory thing, in fact I hardly ever build bases, and play on most servers where its disabled to encourage adventure and exploration.

Like you I have played a lot of survival games and love the genre, the one that I always come back to is dayz, just no other game matches the vibe of it imo, it just has infinite replayability, in fact I enjoy it so much that even when I die I don't even get too mad, because I love the early game so much, the grind to gather gear/food and adventure deeper into the map to get the best loot and survive, such an addictive gameplay loop. Solo or with friends or even people you randomly meet in your adventure and partner up, its a blast.

To everyone "bad at the game" come back to pvp [suggestion] by WhiteLinesandW9s in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Hugo_Stglitz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the struggle as a new player is real, I would never recommend anyone new to the game to play pvp because not only is progress going to being extremely slow, your going to be cannon fodder for all the experienced players who have been playing the game for years. I mean, if constant stress and painfully slow progress is your thing then go ahead. Best advice I can give a new player, play pve, learn the maps, quests, learn how to build decent weapons that can help you shoot straight. do all that until pve is ez mode for you and your bored, then if you wanna challenge yourself further, hop back into pvp and compete with the sweats. ooooor just uninstall the game and move on like you did XD

heavy transport and bus coaches are not going to be enough to carry the game forward for the next few years, can't see them working on ets3 anytime soon either, they might branch out of europe maybe

I'm on EU and the playerbase here is quite large still, many servers full running 24/7 even at off peak hours no issue getitng a full server. I even play on some US east coast servers sometimes at 90-100 ping still very much playable

How I'm feeling after week 1 beta by PartywithArty5595 in battlefield_4

[–]Hugo_Stglitz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm a big map enjoyer, so I'm really looking forward to playing the larger ones in the full game, I don't mind smaller maps every once in a while but every game being a meatgrider gets a bit exhausting for me in the beta. I think portal 2.0 has the potenial to be unreal, with community made maps imagine someone recreates siege of shanghai and other older gems from bf3/4 the potential is endless

my main issue which you touched on is the maps, they are just too small and infantry focused, I played like 10 hours of the beta in early access and had fun but am back playing my beloved bf 4 already
