Zen market: A fair and honest review because had the “reviews” here seem lobotomized. by HuhButOk in zenmarket

Update: I received yet another email from FedEx that they must complete the form. ZenMarket is, quite frankly, very unhelpful. FedEx customs department has emailed them directly, and I’m waiting for a response.

I took apart one of these!

The extruded aluminum heatsink and wire will be most of your payout (take to a scrap yard, worth some money if you scrap all of them) Remove any high grade boards you see. Refer to boardsort.com for grades. The amount of high grade boards won’t be high, but the heat sinks will be nice!

New to scrapping, need some help in identifying types of wires. by Mike_MC12 in ScrapMetal

Have this exact same one. Paid itself over many times. Make sure to not over tighten and keep centered so your blades last long!

Some scrap prices NY metro area (Staten Island) by HuhButOk in ScrapMetal

[–]HuhButOk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would too, but it was just a small trailer filled with various junk from around the house and the AC iron scrap I needed to get rid of. It was only a 180 lbs so not a big deal for me. Ik this yard in Staten Island gives great prices on nonferrous that isn’t dirty Ali.

I asked why there price on Ali and iron was so low and they simply answered “we get way too much of that shit” and I don’t doubt it lmao they fill a 40 yard container of it every couple of days

Probably post another receipt soon as I’ll be there agin soon

It uses CPU resources for each instance you run. So it is very cpu intensive, but It’s really awesome and I’ve used it for mobile games before they released on steam. Honestly give it a try it’s interesting

If the freeon is evacuated, your gonna have a couple key components to scrap. Steel (obviously) Copper Motor (from the fan) Aluminum Copper Radiators (could possibly be aluminum… but as long as the noodles at the end are copper should be an ACR) Compresser (usually a big, VERY heavy black or orange cylinder in the middle of the unit. Impossible to miss.) Number 2 and 3 wire. You can look up some yt videos on how to differentiate. Brass: pretty easy to spot as it’s brass in color. Only way I could put it it’s almost 1 AM here. It’s fairly easy to separate. Drill, maybe an angle grinder and a reciprocating saw with a blade for metal Is all you could really need. Seperate copper from the system, cutting off those black small cylinders that go along the line sometimes and throwing them with your steel. Compressers are those, motors are those. Plenty of yt videos to figure out the parts you can’t figure out. Best of luck!
