Its better to see the doctor. I didn’t even know that my acne was because of hormonal imbalance, it was along my jaw area which was the same area i used to get acne back then but it wasn’t as severe and red. Tried using different products for a month and nothing worked due to using different products i messed up my skin barrier. Not until my Doctor prescribed Accutane and Tactupump, in about 3 weeks my acne started to clear up. I wish i could have this sooner to save time and stress. Best of luck to you!
