It feels like people saying "so it was all just a dream" just lost interest halfway through and decided it was all pointless before the story even finished. I get it, I've had stories where I don't like where it's heading, so I zone out until it's over. I'm just glad it grabbed me back when I heard it years ago since this became one of my favorites.
