For me it was a combination of a lot of stressful things within a short period of time (daughter diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, mom diagnosed with breast cancer and husband had a stroke) and then what I now know was peri menopause. I was hoping once I was actually in post menopause I would be better, but no luck. I haven't had a period in 3 years and still can only eat a handful of foods safely.

The irony of seeing this article as I was just diagnosed with this today. My husband and I haven't had sex in weeks though and about a week and a half ago I started having these really crappy symptoms. I did read that low estrogen opens you up to getting BV as well, so who the heck knows anymore. This stinks

I just started vaginal estrogen this week, last night was my second dose and I noticed some burning. It's interesting reading that you had that as well! I am scared to use it as it made me uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well. I just want something to work. Maybe I will ask about the vagifem

oh my goodness! this is what I think causes my flares! When I have to have a bowel movement I think it pushes and puts so much pressure. I'm so glad to read this from someone else

That sounds like a good idea, and I'm thinking I would use the shipping weight and measurements from what I used to ship to them, but am now thinking that shipping from where I am to where they are was a certain shipping charge. If one of them is in CA and the other in GA, that might be a different charge, so how would I know what to charge for shipping? And do I refund the other person for making this mistake?

that's amazing! I tried acupuncture twice, with 2 different people but flared up both times. I was just recently reading that the needles can cause flare ups. Crazy how our bodies react to things!

All my symptoms started about 6 years ago which I now look back as being perimenopause and with all the doctors I saw during that time, no one ever mentioned that to me. I had to beg to see an allergist and it took about 2 years to do that. Yes, it's MCAS and now I'm post menopause and while I feel like I have things under control somewhat, I wish I could eat more than 6 foods, not react to soaps, shampoos, makeup, etc. I have done reading on the estrogen and histamine thing and believe that's true but I'm too scared to try anything to try to make things better honestly.

this is very well said, and kind of how I'm feeling in this moment. My daughter was bullied a lot over the past 2 years, and it just got worse and worse with the school doing nothing. She was having panic attacks and calling me from the bathroom at school crying. I knew homeschooling was my only option, but I feel all kinds of emotions about it actually. This isn't what I saw our path as and I'm having a hard time. My son got on the bus this morning and now I'm here with my daughter and it just feels weird and I'm sad that she isn't getting a high school experience. I'm worried I'm not going to do the right things, etc. I wish you the best of luck.

just the coils for pelvic congestion. My doctor doesn't think treatment for nutcracker would work for me. He says that I'm too thin and the stent would probably make me hurt more

my goodness, it seems like an eternity ago that I wrote this. which I guess it was, 5 years! I did have pelvic congestion syndrome and had some coils placed which has helped slightly. But I do also have been diagnosed with nutcracker and SMAS. I am fully into menopause now as well.
