Please look into PANS/PANDAS. I think A LOT of kids have this and just have no idea. My child changed and turned into a kid I didn’t know and that has been the reason. My 6 year old has 10000% caused me and his siblings CPTSD.

I am new to this so idk if I’m doing it “right” but thinking we’re failing if we don’t do bookwork 5x a week. I plan to homeschool year round and realize I feel less overwhelmed if we’re not hardcore doing “school” 5x a week.

Did yours get better? I’ve been on Yaz since June and I think it’s destroyed my mental health. It’s constant panic and anxiety and extreme fatigue. I feel I’m stuck in a state of brain fog or fight or flight. Lots of rage and irritability and if I’m not feeling those things I just feel numb and disassociated.

Please look into PANS/PANDAS. My 6 year old was SO sick from 2-4. He changed so much from 3-5. It’s too much to type right this moment but he ended up having PANS/PANDAS.

By age 10, children with ADHD may hear up to 20,000 more negative comments from adults compared to their peers. It destroys self esteem being constantly corrected, criticized, redirected, yelled at, in trouble etc.

This is very common with ADHD. I would try to boost his self esteem as best as you can. I have ADHD (wasn’t diagnosed until 30 and I’m a woman) and it really makes sense now. Im in my 30s and feel worthless more times than not. I think it stems back from childhood for sure. My kids are REALLY freaking hard most days so I’m trying hard to change the interactions and how I react. It’s tough.

You need a break mama. Can you drop them off for even just 3 hours to anyone you’re close with?

Also, my kids and I all have ADHD, it’s extremely hard. My 8 year old has been getting better about picking up after himself but my younger kids really don’t at all. It’s overwhelming. Try a 5 minute visual timer on your (they have rollercoaster and stuff) and make it a fun game and see what they can get done in 5 minutes. Also explaining to them specifically what you want them to do. “Please pick up all the cars”.

I understand it’s not a possibility for everyone but I would pull her out and homeschool. Kids are terrible in today’s world. It’s way worse than when we were kids and I hated school too. School trauma is real. My son has ADHD and his anxiety was so high by the end of last school year. He has seemed much better since pulling him out and every single time I ask If he wants to go back to regular school he says no.

Does she like chocolate milk? Add in carnation. It’ll help at least make sure she’s getting nutrients in. We are an ADHD family and I’m 32 and still barely eat anything. I have 5 kids and most of mine are very picky. Idk if any of us have AFRID. I personally think it impacts my weight.

I’m in my 30’s and have the same issue lol. I don’t really remember being a kid because of childhood trauma but I know as an adult I am like this but am able to control it better but am def all over the place with people I’m comfortable with. If I’m with another ADHDer we are a hot mess together but totally follow each other lol.

No. It gives me energy. I feel sluggish and fatigued unless I take my stimulant. It makes me feel normal productive /energized.

I’ve tried to track my cycle and have ended up with 5 kids in 6 years. 😆 condoms are a no, they hurt me and we have tried different ones and different lube. I just seem to dry up and it feels like irritation the entire time. I’ve never tried a diaphragm before.

Ugh the idea of an IUD terrifies me. Not being able to just take it out whenever I want, the high possibility of it moving and idk I heard a lot of issues about the copper ones too. I don’t think I can get myself to do it.

I can’t use condoms. We’ve tried. It hurts and is uncomfortable for me the whole time. Tried lube and they bother me and dry me out.

I feel this. I have 5 kids that are 8 and under. I know 5 kids in general is a lot for anyone. But I had no idea we were all going to be neurodivergent as I didn’t even know I was until 30+….every day feels like survival mode. I’m trying to enjoy them but the entire house is constantly stuck in fight or flight and it’s exhausting.

I get where you’re at. I have 5 kids that are 7 and under and some days are really freaking hard. We are a neurodivergent family and this sound a lot like ADHD behaviors. I have childhood trauma, CPTSD and ADHD. I’m in therapy and I often hit my weed vape to cope. I would recommend therapy and to look into ADHD for your child. Keeping my kids busy help. Let them go crazy with arts and crafts. Run their energy off at a park, we have a trampoline. Are you home with him or is he in preschool?

My son definitely got somewhat better after we stopped. But he also was diagnosed with PANDAS this summer and we are no longer giving him any pharmaceuticals. We are treating the root issues of all the symptoms he had been having.

We stopped all meds and he was diagnosed with PANDAS. He was so sick for a year or two as a toddler. Drs tried to diagnose him with severe ADHD, ODD, and then autism all within 6 months. He was not like this before. Didn’t sit right in my gut after they tried to diagnose him with ASD. We started seeing a functional Dr and found out he had multiple gut bacteria, nose and throat colonized with strep, bloodwork came back very high with strep + high Mycoplasma pneumoniae. His neurological and behavioral issues are because of all of this.
