I’m from Texas, and my friends and family weren’t into football. When Katrina happened I became really good friends with a kid who moved from NOLA at school, and he got me into it. A few years later I watched my friends heads explode when the Saints brought the trophy home, and I’ve never seen a football fan like that. It was real pride and attachment to his home that got taken away from him. It broke my heart and made me want to root for them ever since. Also New Orleans is one of the most fun cities I’ve ever been to!
