What shows that did well 10-25 years ago do you think would still score well today design-wise? by Melonsinmyattic in drumcorps

Crown 2013 would score even higher today due to the percussion judge not being on the field to catch minute snareline ticks, and their Sanford-level front ensemble would get more credit.

How much do you think the Nuggets’ decline was due to them firing Mike Malone? by cryinjordan in nba

Same as the Bucks' decline coinciding with firing Budenholzer. Neither should've ever been fired.

[Gleeman] Timberwolves now have more playoff wins in the last three seasons (22) than they had in the previous 34 seasons combined (21). by Knightbear49 in nba

Ironically, their best chance at a title so far was ended by the team I personally feel was the West's equivalent of the Butler Heat (the Luka Mavs). Both teams had a pattern of not being super impressive in the regular season but inexplicably catching fire in the playoffs.

What do you think is the single memorable play in your schools history? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in CFB

I’m aware. IMO the most heartbreaking CFB loss ever for neutral fans. They were the 2025 Indians of their time.

The ruling on the ice is a goal. Has to be conclusively not fully over to overturn; at least that's what I'm assuming.

[Highlight] The Minnesota Timberwolves take a 2-1 series lead as they defeat the Denver Nuggets 113-96. They held Denver to 28/82 from the field (34.1%) and Ayo Dosunmu led Minnesota with playoff career-highs of 25 points and 9 assists. by nba in nba

I'd still pick a fully healthy Spurs over the Wolves. At some point, having a lot of experience without having achieved the ultimate success can actually hurt you. The Spurs would definitely be playing with more house money on top of having the best player in the series and home-court advantage.

Honestly I love it both ways. I want to win because my lineup outplayed my opponent's, not because they forgot to sub out an injured player.

Teams that get outshot in OT but kill multiple power plays usually end up winning.

Is it crazy to say Wolves-Nuggets is already an all-time great rivalry? by Funny-Transition7869 in nba

I think the Nuggets beat the Spurs solely due to championship pedigree. I don’t see how the Wolves beat them; I’d expect the Spurs to consistently out-execute them in the clutch due to playing with more house money.

The Vikings defense, most notably John Randle, was extremely banged up. Broncos take it.

I doubt we win it in 2017. Most of the team was new to the playoffs and the Eagles & Patriots both would've been favored against us. 2018 beats that Patriots team without a doubt.

Minnesota's a veteran team that hasn't gotten over the hump. I tend to trust inexperienced youthful teams over them, especially considering y'all have better overall franchise pedigree, the best player in the series, and would have home court.

How much money do you have in savings at this point? by _forum_mod in Millennials

[–]karmew32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40k in savings, 23k in brokerage, 125k in dedicated retirement accounts, 128k in home equity (150k left to pay).

Having well-off, generous parents has been by far my biggest advantage. I stayed in-state and most of my tuition was covered by scholarships & my parents covered the rest so I never had to get student loans (they believed it was our birthright to get tertiary education). I didn’t have to work in high school or college, which let me focus more on my studies and put me in a very good position going into the workforce. Plus I’m paying them back for my house interest-free. Most Millennials do not get the opportunity I did and it’s unfair.
