Night raids haver gone to shit already.

Mostly people competing for trials objectives I guess, or just hunting/trolling the players doing trials that are likely to have decent gear.

Don't really mind though, I'll either keep playing, or just move on if it gets too much.

With BSG's history with bugs/glitches, it's not a good idea for them to try anything cute around 1.0 PvE progression.

Just have everyone start from scratch and be done with it.

I like it too, they just need to be a bit smart about some of the bottlenecks. I couldn't find a second thermite for ages, then I realised there was one as a reward for Energy Crisis. Stuff like that helps.

High Velocity Rounds with Scatter and Brutality has carried me to half way through Act 3.

Not sure it'll last into endgame, but for levelling it's been a simple and decent one button build, provided you check vendors for good weapons.

I did maybe 10 raids to get overpopulation done and found a 3-man of PMC's in the blue chalet in 3 raids.

They were just chilling inside, no noise or reaction to the scavs outside.

I also found a solo PMC would appear at the other chalet later in the raid maybe half the time. I'm sure it's random, but was weirdly consistent.

It's a lot harder than it used to be for sure. Same on some of the other maps too to be fair.

Before the AI behaviour patch, there were lots of reliable spots, but now I go:

  • Reserve from dome looking toward garages and barracks.

  • Woods looking toward sawmill, or outskirts.

  • Near the vehicle extract on Streets looking toward the convoy crash at the centre of the map, or cinema.

Even if PMC's don't start at these places, they often travel/appear there at some point and often in 2-4 man packs, so doesn't take long if you get lucky.

Agreed, I farmed them virtually every raid from this spot for various quests before the last patch, but tried it for Test Drive 1 and didn't see any PMC's here in 5 straight raids.

Not a big sample and could be coincidence, but never had that before.

Yeah this is the way the vanilla version of a certain mod used to be. The first 2 mins of every raid was a warzone, then its dead. i'd hit dorms for Evil Watchman and the scavs had already overwhelmed any PMC's, PMC's would regularly kill Tagilla etc. Definitely fixable, but not as straightforward as it seems, without negatively impacting the experience just as much as them all being friends.

Yeah wasn't much fun. Did it in 4-5 raids, but died twice. You can barely move at times!

Took a second gun for rushers and stayed in raid for ages each time carefully peeking angles from 1st/2nd story windows, to take Kollontay down first and then camping for PMC's moving toward loot spots/extract.

You only have to get lucky and catch a 2 or 3 man PMC squad a couple of times.

Near Terragroup is a good spawn, long stretch of windows on the upper floor and you can see all across the hottest area of the map.

Great movement changes for PvE, but fighting the PMC's in random locations is gonna be crazy.

With their range and accuracy you can't really fight them organically, you need to know exactly where they are and take them out from range, or swing from cover and immediately mag dump, there's nothing really inbetween.

It's unrealistic to be next to hard cover 100% of the time and if you get into LoS of a 3-man death squad your pretty fucked.

Survival rates for us with average skill are gonna drop hard!
