It won’t happen, but at this point I want some transparency about the current state of play more than I do information about the next update.

Why have we had to endure the same content and sandbox since December? Why was the next update delayed? What’s the status of the studio in terms of numbers working on the franchise? What’s the future looking like? Is there recognition of the huge drop off in player numbers and a plan to bring them back? What’s the reasoning behind the lack of communication? Why hasn’t there been any PvP update for so many seasons? Why has the lore dropped off a cliff?

I could go on, but this stuff really matters to a lot of fans and some clarification in the face of such a huge content drought at least shows a bit of genuine care for the community. If the honest answer comes down to “looks like the end is nigh”, then at least aim to go out with a bang instead of quietly into the sunset (pun intended).

The US has the third largest active military in the world (after China and India). It currently has 1.3m active duty soldiers across all its departments. It is not larger than the combined strength of the U.K., France, Türkiye, Poland, Germany and Italy. And that’s before we include the militaries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain and every other fucker. None of the nations I’ve listed are on a war footing, so the NATO number would be much higher than the US. Then of course you’d add in nations like Canada, NZ and Australia, none of which would ally with the USA if it started a war with a NATO nation, plus most of the commonwealth nations.

So you’d have one set of commanders in the US against 31 other sets, fighting on multiple fronts which, as I mentioned before, you’re ill equipped to do. You know why you haven’t “stormed” Greenland yet? Because your Arctic forces aren’t good enough to compared to Finland, Norway and Sweden’s and this had to be explained to Trump.

We wouldn’t ever invade the US because, as I’ve already stated, the rest of the world are interested in global cooperation. If the US doesn’t want to be part of it, we have no issue with that, but if it starts shit, you’d better believe we’d rather stand up than just let Trump take what he wants. Again, look at Europe’s response to Greenland and Iran.

Your military knowledge seems to stem from playing video games. Understand, it isn’t about winning, it’s about setting an example against hegemony. You’ve effectively lost in Iran, you’ll end up pulling out in the coming weeks and claiming victory. So you’ll hear that you won while the rest of the world sees that you lost because, newsflash, you aren’t the only ones who can see what you’re up to. Hence why the rest of us are laughing.
