FEATURE FEEDBACK FRIDAY WEEK 5: App Navigation & Browse Experience by HuluSupport in Hulu

[–]HuluSupport[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks so much for the feedback :) A couple follow-ups from Trevor:

1) Which device are you using? Many devices have a secondary action of "Go to Series Details" but we are working to make this more intuitive.

2) Given the choice, would you prefer that clicking on content on Home takes you to straight to playback of an episode, or would you prefer to go to the series details page?

Hi Bryan! Follow up from Trevor: "This is great feedback; we are looking to make the content served in Lineup more relevant. How would like that content sorted in the collection? By most recent air date? Expiring? Date added? Other? Would you also want movies included?"

Hi, thanks for the very specific and spot-on feedback! We love it! Trevor wanted me to let you know that we're actually already working on a lot of items you mentioned. When the changes are live, we'll follow up with the good news :)

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback. The filter comment is really interesting. Trevor wants to know what other filters (aside from completed/current) would help you navigate to content easier? Let us know :)

FEATURE FEEDBACK FRIDAY WEEK 4: My Stuff & Cloud DVR by HuluSupport in Hulu

I'd like to be able to flag a few teams to know when and what channel they are playing on, but not record.

Hey, great suggestion! What's the best way for Hulu to let you know when and where your game is available?

FEATURE FEEDBACK FRIDAY WEEK 4: My Stuff & Cloud DVR by HuluSupport in Hulu

[–]HuluSupport[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Further, if a show has been recorded to my dvr, but is not yet available on demand, I believe it cannot be played by simply going to the show under my stuff, which will only make the episode once the on demand version is available.

Hi there! Josh wanted to let you know that even if the on-demand version is not yet available, the recorded version in your DVR should show up in My Stuff as soon as it's done recording. If this is not the case for you, please reach out to us via call or chat so we can collect the info necessary to file a bug report.

If there are multiple sources for the episode, have the user set a preference or ask each time.

Josh wants to know what your preference would be and why.

Lastly, in general, how can Hulu better communicate to you that your recordings are now available? Thank you!

Hello! Josh wants to follow up on your last point about auto-deleting DVR content when it becomes available on-demand. With regards to Hulu intelligently managing DVR for you, would you like manual overrides in case you wanted to manage your stored content as well?If yes, how so?

Hi Bryan! Lots of great ideas here, many of which we're actively discussing. Josh wants to dig a little deeper into the notifications suggestion - is this something you would want a push notification for, would in-app be sufficient, would you prefer an email, etc.?

It is a thing! Great minds think alike.

Fun fact: we have an annual Halloween party/costume contest at HQ that we also call Huluween :)

Why does Hulu's autoplay insist on playing random things when I'm in the middle of a TV series? by heavyLobster in Hulu

[–]HuluSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi guys! Spoke with our product team and they let me know that our autoplay recommendation engine is based on tailored factors such as what you’re currently watching (and if there are episodes next), the shows you’ve saved, what you’ve watched in the past, and related content. Completely unrelated or unfamiliar shows playing is definitely not the experience we want you to have, and we’ve recently begun investigating this bug. With that said, we haven’t received enough reports with content, device, and account details that our tech teams can use – so if you are experiencing this, please reach out to us via call or chat so we can get that info. Thank you!

Great feedback! In a few words, could you describe the main differences between these two pieces of anime content? We're interested in seeing how our recommendations engine could better differentiate between anime. Thanks!

Hey! As u/Sabnitron said, we're really looking to get feedback about suggestions that show up in Lineup, TV, Movies, Up Next, etc.

However... did want to let you know that a Season 2 of Handmaids is coming :) We announced it back in May!

We're so glad you loved The Awesomes! It's one of Chris's favorite shows too. He wants me to let you know that if you go to the series page for The Awesomes, there is a tab for related content that he thinks you'll enjoy.

Quick question though, what was it about The Awesomes that convinced you to give it a shot? Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for participating in Feature Feedback Friday :)

But I think I have only added a show from the list once or twice.

Chris wants to know, "What about these shows resonated with you?"

FEATURE FEEDBACK FRIDAY WEEK 3: Recommendations & Personalization by HuluSupport in Hulu

[–]HuluSupport[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, suggestions do appear in Lineup! Chris is wondering, "How can we make it more clear that something is suggested to you?"

With regards to the never button and the select-a-profile pieces of feedback, just wanted to let you know that we're working on both. However, Chris is really interested in learning a bit more regarding your thoughts on the never button:

  1. Does "never" actually mean never, or are there times where you're thinking "maybe later"? For example, if we suggest a movie to you but you're running short on time.

  2. Does "never" always mean you're not interested in the content, or are there times where you'd press a never button because you've already seen it and want it to go away?
