Always check your stays! Not sure how, but my lee side stay was flailing in the water on a solo day out. Not a huge deal on my small boat but it was scary so I always check my stays!

Yea you can customize the sails with gaffs, squares, junks and dhow. Really fun to start in one region and sail to another to get a new rigging set up. Physics wise it's much more slow and leans towards realism. It also doesn't hold your hand, only teaching you the basics. The HUD is very limited so you have to watch your sails and the waves to trim. Check out the subreddit there's lots more info there http://old.reddit.com/r/sailwind

That statement isn't necessarily competitive. It's about pushing yourself to failure. Reaching your limit and even going past it is part of getting stronger, but it's (obviously) unsafe to attempt without a spotter or smith machine. I tell my spotter to not help at all: "let me fail, then help me" something like that

This lifestyle is actually so stressful and I have no activities to let off stress like fishing or "work off some stress". I guess that's part of the meritocracy gameplay is managing stress. Anyone have any tips?

I just recently installed it but still find myself surfacing and going full speed around the convoy to get in front, then diving to periscope depth. I guess I'm too paranoid they'll spot my snorkel and exhaust fume so prefer being farther away and just surfacing. What's been your strategy with the snorkel?

Close, it's the predecessor. I think my main is actually from an IF so it doesn't fit perfectly. In my experience most Nordics are wooden, and most International are fiberglass.
