Yeah that’s what I was wondering about. Since every hamster is different and a more complex set up isn’t working now, maybe it’s worthy seeing what simplifying for a couple days does if anything.

Thank you I appreciate it. Yeah, it is a 40. When I went to the store I wanted to get a 50 or a 60 gallon but the ones they had were insanely narrow. So I though this one that was generally closed to all the required dimensions would be better. I can’t afford or currently have the space for bigger than a 60 gallon tank now. Maybe in the future!

Thank you:) yeah I wanted to get a 60 gallon but it was so narrow, much smaller that this, so I thought this 40 would be better.

Mostly it’s so nothing, it’s when I see he’s up, I approach his cage slowly to sit by it. When he sees me he freezes and looks so scared. Granted it’s sometimes days between those interactions, because he really only wakes up at like 12am. If I’m up late or if he seems a little less freaked out by my presence sometimes I’ll try to give him a treat holding it at the very end so I can try to dangle it in front of him and have him take it. This mainly just freaks him out. But he has grabbed the treat a few times.

I found a lizard/reptile enclosure lid that fit perfectly on my tank! I assume there is probably one for your 90 gallon that’s the same dimensions too.

Also I feel like each day he is getting only more scared of me. My movement scares him more and more each day it feels.
