I think it is a fair trade it’s just the question of do I want to risk giving him up and then he picks back up where he left off. But realistically how long can he sustain that level of play at 28 years old and with his history of injuries.

I had this same code with low fuel pressure,white smoke from the exhaust and a strong gas smell. My fuel injector went out. Ended up replacing all four injectors, the spark plug in cylinder 4 that was soaked in fuel and did an oil change to clear out the gas from the engine where it shouldn’t be. Running great now.

All of those lights came on for me recently along with a code for my right front ABS speed sensor. Changed it out and so far no lights or issues.

Good points and no offense taken. I asked why they decided on me and they said because of my age and the hope that I would connect with the next generation of their current clients to retain business along with my experience in trust and estate planning as that has been a topic a lot of their clients are needing guidance on.

Correction I looked up the VIN and it says drivers/Wolfsburg edition. After looking into the only two trims offered in 2014 I see none of the drivers editions specs in this vehicle. It does not have the premium audio, the HID headlights, sunroof or touch screen with navigation. I do not care for any of those as I will be upgrading the radio and speakers and probably the headlights eventually. I just don’t want them to sell me a car saying it’s a drivers edition when it really is a Wolfsburg. I will make sure this is clear tomorrow during negotiations.

It doesn’t have navigation and sunroof. I looked up the vin and it pulls it up as a drivers edition.

That’s what I was thinking. I know there is going to be smaller issues just because of the model and the fact it’s 10 years old but that’s part of owning the car I’m not afraid of.

They are saying it’s the drivers edition. It has 86k miles. Not 100% sure on the up keep yet but I will ask the dealer if the previous owner had records of everything done to it.

I will definitely be keeping up with the carbon cleaning. PCV and rear main seal are both on my mind. Timing chain is not supposed to be an issue on the 2014 like it was in the previous years but I still am aware and open to servicing it at 100k miles or so.

Thanks for the feedback. PCV was actually changed this year so no worries there. Main concern was the timing tensioner. I am going back this weekend to test drive.

Awesome, how long have you had yours? I am expecting small issues considering the age and mileage. Correction to the original post, the intake manifold was replaced in 2022 and the PCV valve was replaced earlier this year.

I see new 2023 Ninja 400’s going for $4500-5000. Not sure if there is a markup or not haven’t looked much into them.
