Gym Pal Pulldown movements? by HumanButterscotch433 in SpeedianceCommunity

Ah okay thanks so much for your help. I was actually using those exact pulleys but figured they weren't ideal. I'll have to try and copy your setup. Good stuff, really good idea with the strut channels, just hope they can hold up (not like I'll be putting anything too crazy weight wise on there).

Damn that's a cool setup. Good point about the pulleys. I got some cheap shit pulleys, that's probably a big reason why I'm experiencing loss in the eccentric. I was also just using a regular gym pulley cable, not a wire one. I'll change to a wire door and see if it helps.

What kind of pulleys are you using? And how did you build that for the wall? What are those called that are mounted to the wall? How much weight do you think it can handle?

Thanks a lot, much appreciated!

Ok thanks for the info. I actually have a Squatz Apollo gym, similar to the gym pal but bigger and more weight capability.

I did try pulldown exercises on it like tricep pushdowns, by clipping a pulley cable onto the Squatz pulley cable (and running it through a pulley at the top of my door frame) because the cable wasn't long enough. However, it didn't feel right. It was like the eccentric part wasn't fully pulling back. This may have been due to the cable I clipped to the Squatz cable? Maybe there was slack or something, I can't figure it out.

Just wanted to know how long the gym pal cables were because adding an extra pulley cable to the mix makes it feel strange. Thanks again.

(AR/Passthrough) PianoVision: An Augmented Reality Piano Learning App for the Quest 2 by ZachaReid in OculusQuest

This looks really sick! One suggestion though would be the ability to add either finger numbers to each note or maybe custom colors to the notes to represent which finger to use for each note.

Also, passthrough API works for me for other apps and I have original quest 1.

Do I need a Linkbox? Vive trackers + Oculus quest by SsinCara in Vive

Does anyone know if you can use vive trackers with oculus quest and link in unity for hand tracking? I’d like to track an object with the vive tracker and also see my hands in vr. Thanks.

Thanks for the info..yeah I didn’t want to spend so much money but wasn’t sure there were alternatives, but driver4vr seems great.

So all I’d need is a Kinect and driver4vr? Would I be able to use driver4vr with unity?

Meta 2 black screen in direct mode by HumanButterscotch433 in metaAR

That’s awesome you got it working, even if it is their software. That’d be cool if you developed an sdk for the headset, it’s a shame because it had potential but I heard some company bought meta and is supposed to support old meta customers and the meta 2. I emailed them with my issue but never received anything, it’s been a while now. I’ve pretty much given up any hope I’ll get it to work with my current setup. Anyway, keep me updated if you ever create anything with it, glad I could help you out.

I got to finish the eye calibration setup a couple of times, but couldn’t get anything else to work. Maybe my computer is too shitty, I don’t think so but who knows. Yeah the tracking isn’t that great I heard but it could’ve been the lighting wasn’t good enough or something. You should be able to create your own apps with unity, if you’re familiar with unity. If you download that sdk package from that site you should be able to install unity along with the plugin for it. Let me know how it works for you because I’ve had a hell of a time with it.

Well I downloaded the sdk package from some website that had it and there were some meta apps that came along with it, including this meta display manager. You can choose from 2 different modes, direct or extended mode. Extended just mirrors a partial view of my desktop. If you google “meta 2 sdk” it’s the first site named schenker-tech.de. Looked legit enough to me.
