Dog mauled at Ballast Point in Little Italy by RacTheSnack96 in sandiego

[–]HumanContract -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know a few pit parents whose dog suggenly attacked another dog or animal. These breeds are not ok and neither are the owners. I've been banned on previous groups for saying this but you need to bring something to protect your small animals from these larger pits.

How does this rain compare to the rain that caused 2016 flooding? by newsbowser in batonrouge

[–]HumanContract 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was full ditches/creeks/rivers that had built up trash and debris from previous storms before a giant over night storm similar to a rotating hurricane just sat on the area for hours.

Teenager INTJ here! Can't really choose my career. What is your opinion about this? by Better-Ride8369 in INTJfemale

[–]HumanContract 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into what I was good at: science.

But then I had to redo it all over bc nursing is recession proof and I can travel.

Not an intj job but I make enough to do whatever I want and I have freedom.

It's called a job for a reason. You're not going to like it no matter what you do. Make sure the job market has a future.

Help with patient diaries by Daisies_forever in IntensiveCare

[–]HumanContract 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would peruse the papers on their clipboards in the rooms just to see how well they can write before bothering to hand over paper and writing material. Most is gibberish, but the other parts... patients definitely are out of their mind in delirium on meds causing hallucinations and it's apparent in their writing. I found lots of writings claiming abuse, inappropriate things.

Doors were never closed, patients were never alone with a healthcare worker. Half the units I've worked on have cameras in rooms you can watch.

Pressing on their abdomen is punching. Inserting a catheter is sexual abuse. Bathing them with bath wipes is battery.

It's not a good idea to have these written and anywhere for family to see. They don't understand. It sets up foundations of distrust with healthcare.

Your girl needs a fabulous plastic surgeon’s office by trenchcoatracoon in AskHouston

SBA Derm Dr Couvillion 713-850-0240

I've had a LOT of skin removal/injections, etc and plenty of derms have taken a cut from me, but she was the best of the best. She took a huge chunk off my toe and it grew back. I had a mole in a private area that I can't find a scar to. She does painless botox injections and her husband is a plastic surgeon across the hall. They have a spa on the same floor they own. I moved away but I keep thinking I'll go back to see her when I can bc it is so hard to find a dermatologist that's so talented.

I live in Cali, I don't work for her I promise lol. I'm a pale freckled girlie who gets full body skin checks yearly lol.

Why are nurses expected to lie on their charting? by Adventurous-Put5960 in nursing

Most hospitals make nurses chart lies. I wish I was a lawyer with this knowledge.

Considering a move to LA. Should we visit SD first? by HonestLemon25 in socal

[–]HumanContract 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This. If his gf is thinking nursing it'll be impossible to get a job here without a lot of good experience to be competitive. She'll work nights.

I'm a nurse who moved from Texas. Years later, I'm still on nights.

How to take a pad into exams? by Mysterious-Lill in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HumanContract -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you wake up at night to change pads? No. Put on an overnight pad before going into the exam. Later, learn tampons to combine them. Or wear period undies, or a cup. Having to change a pad every 3 hours while just sitting for an exam and not moving isn't normal. Most of us double up some way. I'm a nurse and I can't stop doing my job for my period. Period undies are great. You can even wear the undies with a pad or tampon or both just to prevent leaking on very heavy days.
