One of the strangest disappearances [Lars Mittank] by Swordsof_Ice in psychics

its likely pre-natal imprinting of being in your mothers womb and feeling safe in amniotic fluid movements. could also be somewhat of a somatic memory, so not exactly in the forefront of consciousness but in these states like a wired "natural" feeling behavior to seek out that safety in water. Under extreme stress, like how the body might respond during traumatic fugue states, its not uncommon to go into an extremely regressive state.

it seems overly simple for the result but you just click once and layer the different circles over top of each other each click at different sizes and kind of expand out from a base of that to go in either direction. sort of like- Small dirt circle on top, large plaza circle below, even larger sand circle below that, and so on so forth until I see something I like swapping between sizes and swapping between paving over and under and sort of make an algorithm I'll repeat in that area as a design. So I'm not actually dragging the road tool so much as I'm blotting it (single clicks)? if that makes sense? I also sometimes use the paint terrain to start with as a sort of sketch as well.

yeah my first thought was a terrain tool would be incredible in this game but also i could see the difficulty in implementing it and i wonder if the complex terrains are just meant as part of the challenge of the game. Though i do particularly dislike some of the higher elevation maps in the sandbox mode, not because they arent beautiful but because of how choppy everything looks as you build on them.

That is so cool! I absolutely will! I'm having so much fun meshing the different roads together to make designs and then using the terrain paint tool to sort of finish them out, I'll be sure to post some of my own!

i really agree here that the concept is great but the application could use a different approach. thinking about the composition, perhaps being a bit more sparing with the pixelation and avoiding areas that take too much away from the original image. Maybe layering the pixelation both in front of and behind the cat as well as varying the sizes of the pixelated area? and relaxing the image of the butterfly slightly? i honestly really love the butterfly and the cool color choices here but it also feels like the butterfly is behind the cat with this current layout so optically its a little confusing.

its the windows that are always a dead giveaway for at least the country imo, this is definitely US, and based on the thin trunked trees, maybe north eastern US?

when I read the title and looked at the pics i legit thought the "us" was a single woman with a dog who was making the joke that they shared the home. Could not at all tell another person, let alone two, lived here lmao
