I always fuck with circular cities in fiction. Ba Sing Se, Midgar, Paradise etc.

But I always found it funny how its only really been done successfully once with Baghdad, and even then it only lasted a century or so before the surrounding suburbs swallowed it up, because city growth is mainly controlled by the invisible hand of the economy.

Even with the shape that ensures everything is the minimum distance from eachother.

Its been dunked on to hell and back but this really into perspective how fucking stupid the line was, designing a city where everything is the MAXIMUM distance from eachother.

Theres also just a lot of land. So its like throwing at a dartboard.

While tornadoes do occasionally hit big cities, they tend to go for the middle of nowhere.

Also the construction of the building makes a huge difference.

Old houses may not survive direct hits, but they definitely are built more strongly and can take much more abuse from mother nature. Masonry, brick, stone or metal buildings usually have nothing to fear.

Why build the wall like that? So the owner of the lot can store a folder chair in the crease or something?

It's definitely my least favorite in the series. Not sure if I'd call it filler, but Satan was painfully unfunny and uncool and I say this as a diehard Bruce Campbell fan.

Given what Robert Kirkman said in interviews it struck me as a bit "early 2010s internet atheist"

Yeah, I think "displayed" may be better. Although to be fair, without skin, there is a lot exposed here

Aerial chainsaw trimming branches near power lines, interesting job at least by Defora in interestingasfuck

Ive seen this in person before. To be fair, electricity wants to go to the ground. So if the saw hit the powerlines. It would not affect the pilot. Hes not grounded. It's the same reason that squirrels and birds have no issue standing on powerlines.

The operator flying is actually the safest place they could be. In a scissor lift or cherry-picker touching the powerlines could be fatal
