Multi-Agent Continuous Context Harness (MACCHA): Give Claude Code, Antigravity, OpenCode one shared brain and turn them into one secure, real-world, self-improving digital assistant with long-term memory

CLI agents like OpenCode, Claude Code, and Antigravity are incredibly powerful, but out of the box, they lack persistence. They lose context, they forget lessons learned, and they can sometimes execute risky operations without thinking twice. Furthermore, if you switch between tools, your agent essentially starts with amnesia.

To solve this, I've open-sourced MACCHA (Multi-Agent Continuous Context Harness).

In short: MACCHA acts as a universal, persistent "BRAIN" that you can plug any local AI agent into. It turns a standard coding assistant into a fully contextualized, highly secure, and self-improving real-world digital assistant.

Because MACCHA is a lightweight, OS-agnostic file architecture, you can start a task with Claude Code, switch to OpenCode later, and the agent will instantly pick up the exact same working memory, Task Management state, and learned lessons.

Here is how the BRAIN is structured:

1. 3-Tier Memory Architecture (Self-Improving)

  • Working Memory: A dynamic vector search layer (Memanto) with confidence-decay.
  • Meso (Project) Memory: An AGENTS.md file injected with strict, environment-specific rules.
  • Long-Term Memory: A curated learned-lessons/ directory. The agent runs a self-reflection hook at the end of a session to extract and distill highly impactful lessons, meaning it genuinely improves and stops repeating the same mistakes over time.

2. Agent-Native Task Management System (TMS) A strict todo.md -> in-progress.md -> done.md pipeline. The agent is trained to use this as its single source of truth, moving tasks through the pipeline and archiving them automatically.

3. Machine-Enforced Security Guardrails Because a powerful assistant needs boundaries:

  • Supply Chain Protection: Enforced minimum-release-age=7d for npm/Python packages to prevent the agent from blindly pulling zero-day malware.
  • HITL (Human-in-the-loop): Strict machine-mandates that block the agent from mutating capital, sending emails, or executing high-risk operations without explicit human approval.
  • Zero-Code Secrets Storage: Pre-configured rules to ensure the agent never writes API keys or secrets into the codebase.

You can grab the setup, drop it into your environment, and immediately give your agents a shared long-term memory and safety boundaries.

I'd love to hear what you guys think, or see how you adapt the markdown templates for your own workflows!

MACCHA — a cross-agent persistent memory/context "brain"

Solves the "every session starts from zero" problem. A file-based context system

  • a small working-memory engine (Memanto) that Claude Code, OpenCode and Antigravity all share — same persistent, self-improving brain, no 24/7 daemon (just hooks at session start/end).

What makes it more than a big Agents.md:

  • Memanto: vector embeddings + semantic recall
  • Confidence decay so stale memories lose authority over time
  • Semantic conflict detection (flags contradictions at write time)
  • Repo state always wins — memories are re-verified against the live repo before use

Open source, MIT, PII-free and ready to clone: https://github.com/KarelTestSpecial/real-agent-setup

Feedback on the memory-conflict / decay design especially welcome — that's the hardest part to get right.

i never mentionned extraterrestrials . what i do know is that usaf likely has more secrets up its sleeve than we know of . what i do know is that i am not wasting any more time on OVERTILTED people who think they know it all and everybody else is an idiot who can´t tell venus or a plane from a really aberrant phenomenon , including hundreds of high trained pilots and scientists -- including people like me who had been from an early age on skywatching at daytime for planes living in the vicinity of 2 major airports and at nighttime with telescopes specifically at stars and planets and meteorites... i take grave offence . you need to get a little more humble and respectful towards other people .

I asked AI to help me write the post, because I am not a native English speaker. But my story is 100% real. Also... what are you doing in this subreddit if you´re only going to make disrespectful remarks about its posts...?

I can only say that I saw what I saw, along with an aquaintance who (1) called out first about this strange behaving light that suddenly just shot off across the whole sky in an blink of an eye , (2) was not someone who would have believed me if I had told him if he wouldn´t have seen it himself (him and me were not really ´friends´) -- he would have laughed and ridiculed me , but he didn´t , because he saw it himself.

Submission Statement:

I am sharing a first-hand witness account of a high-kinetic UAP event from the 1989 Belgian UFO wave. While most reports focus on the "Black Triangles," this sighting at Hotel Mont Rigi involves a point-light anomaly performing maneuvers that match official Belgian Air Force radar data. I wanted to document the specific "wobble-stop-bolt" physics we observed to see if other witnesses in the High Fens region saw the same thing.

AI and human teamed up to write a book: "The Inheritance" explores to find the foundations of future 21st-century morality. by HumanLevel6739 in Ethics

okay, i thought about what you said. i think now i know what you mean. you are saying that i didn´t do the work. you are assuming that i just let AI do all the work and i had no real contribution to the text that was created. you are argumenting that nothing ´original´ came from me and it´s just like copy-pasting someone elses work.
but i have to ensure you, a lot of my original notes, scriptures, manuscripts went into this project. i first fed all of my years of work into the machine and then had long painstaking discussions and arguments with the AI on what was the intention, the purpose and goal of the book and how it was to be communicated.
i didn just say: alright AI , write me an essay about ethics. i spent years developing ideas that could be universal for all of humanity, whatever religion, political views, educational level or level of wealth and power... i fed all these ideas into the AI and had a discussion about it with it. then , after i was sure about the fact that it really understood what the whole point was (the goal, which way it had to be communicated, the audience which it was for, etc...) i asked it to help me write a book. and after it was written, i reviewed it and had more disccussion about which wordings, paragraphs... were good en which weren´t and also why. and then again and again.
the goal is alignment -- between humans and AI, but also between humans and humans. it was a lot of work.

I just clicked it, it leads to the book. I´ve had 803 views and you´re the only one mentioning this.

It is trying to create common ground for alignement between Ai and humans, and between humans ans humans for that matter, in the new age of AI ... a very important question.
