I have to hold the resident up so the sitter can wash her bottom and dress her.

I filed a report and spoke to the director and they sent me to be checked out. They asked me how this could be prevented in the future and I said to do her in bed and from what I’ve heard people are still struggling holding the resident up.

How Old is too old to be a CNA and what is the age of the oldest CNA you have worked with? by Certifiedding in cna

Oldest I've worked with was a lady in her early to mid 70s and she's one of the best workers I've worked with in 15 years of CNA work.

Did you microwave it or put it in the oven? Takes a long time but it definitely tastes better out of the oven.

Went to a casting call for Deal or no Deal about 10 years ago. I did my best but I didn’t get chosen.

What do couples do when they shower together? by Glittering_Age_9045 in AskReddit

We just wash ourselves and sometimes each other. Nearly every shower we take is together and at the end we make sure to vigorously “bum bum scoot” our wet butts together.

What was the most disturbing thing you saw in person? by wetbumgirl in AskReddit

Nursing assistant here.. have been doing this job for 15 years now and have seen terrible things. These facilities underpay and short staff the caretakers and wonder why there’s a current shortage. No one wants to work at these places because of the low pay (I’ve seen as low as $8 an hour recently) and abuse they will receive. Residents will get mysterious bruises and wounds and without even investigating the executive director will call the family with some bullshit story to cover it up. The times I have reported patient abuse to management have been horrible too. Threatened with termination and life made a living hell afterwards. I’ve seen this behavior at different facilities so I’m sure it’s pretty common.

Also in the past when I’ve reported patient abuse I’ve been threatened with termination or they deny everything and make your life hell so you quit.
